I'm just saying that we had this kind of predictions in the past about games with "impossible" status.

I was thinking the same. I remember when EA coming here was a pipe dream. And now we have Dragon Age: Origins.

I hope to see some of these predictions proven false.

But the pessimist in me believes all of them.

Add the "new" Sim City (2015ish?) to the list.
Actually I wouldn't rule out Half Life. Sure one's I think are sports games that have all kinds of licensing involved such as music, players, etc
Actually we can't be so sure whether this or that game will never arrive to GOG, especially after Blade Runner and Diablo was released here. I'm sure there will be some pleasant surprises in the future.
Pretty much anything Blizzard, at least for now and as long as they are tangled up in this huge cluster fuck of politics, internal mismanagement in regards to their workforce and the consistent bad PR from executives giving themselves these ludicrous bonuses on top of their salaries.

At this point Blizzard might just be too scared that even something positive like releasing Diablo 2 + ToB on GoG could somehow end up in yet another PR blunder for them.
Technomage ....

It does sound like a Steel Panther song.
As a rule of thumb, Win16 games and anything from systems other than PC.

Glaucos: Any old sports or racing game with licensing.

For example, any EA Sports games (noncurrent year).
That's probable, but then again GOG did manage to bring some Star Trek games and Blade Runner to digital distribution, so it can be done.

The problem with sports games is that most players don't care about games which are few years old or older.

I suppose there are some racing games which are based on car brands, and not racing series like Formula 1, so it could be theoretically possible as there's only the licence with the car brand being the problem, no FIA or real race drivers to complicate things.

There are at least few games which are based on Lotus.

WIn 16 games are all most impossible to run on a 64 bit system, That is why "Indian Jones Desktp Advewntures " wont be here anytime soon.

THe EA Lord Of the Rings games because of license issues. LIcence scpired a number of years ago, EA no longer has the legal right ot sell those. Same for the Dune games.
And then you have games like NOLF which are in licence Limbo.....no one really knows who all the licence owners are;and no one wants to spend the money on legal costs to find out.
Games that caem out for Windows 16 only, dince witout dual boot or VR you cannot run them on a 64 bit Windows system.
I think games like Half Life are very unlikely dut to the policy of the copyright owners, but not totally impossible.

nevarRed: Mechwarrior.
again due to licencing issues.
