Something I noticed (for real this time).

System Shock 2 on Steam doesn't list a Linux build. I know it did before. And the Humble store ver. still says the Steam keys works w/ Linux.

If a Linux Steam user who has SS2 there can confirm its absense, we can take it off the list!

EDIT: Apparently, there were some tech issue and they pulled Linux for now. That explains that!

fortune_p_dawg: so i went through that list and reached out to the devs of ronin and mark of the ninja (on the steam forums).

im not actually expecting a response from either, but it's shit like this is why i will always be consumer first, regardless of how small a development studio is.

ugh. how incredibly cheesy.

edit: and vlambeer on twitter (i pretty much bug them once a year about nuclear throne)
Don't expect a response from either Ronin or Nuclear Throne devs sadly. I've tried.

Patch 1.1.1 for Rezrog was released on Steam on 20th Dec 2018. GOG is still on version 1.1.0. I have not contacted the developer about this.

i don't expect anything really. i think ive contacted them this past summer.

but if i can waste literally 1 second of their oh so valuable time by giving them a poke, id say its worth it. :)

IMO that game should be removed from here if it never received any patch at all since 4 years.. O_o
Its presence is a shame for a supposedly curated store.

Grargar: The first Little Big Adventure is available on Steam as a bundle with two versions; the mobile port and the original DOS version for the same price as the GOG one, which only has the DOS version.
GOG does not even seem to have the Enhanced Edition by DotEMU, unless I am missing something?

Advent Rising updated with date and source, thanks for that.
Hotline Miami 2 added.

The Enhanced Edition is the mobile port but it also comes with the original DOS version, the one that is available on GOG, for the same price that you would pay for just the original version here.
Little Big Adventure added
Rezrog added
Moonlighter added

Far Cry® added,
Killing Time added
; both region locked in Germany (not the case on Steam).

System Shock 2 removed due to (currently) non-existent Linux build.

And that should immediately be removed. Both games are on the German index so not showing them like GOG is doing is the right thing.

Steam is either doing it wrong or (which they are also sometimes known to do!) they sell a heavily censored German version to people with German IPs without pointing out the differences between what they sell to Germans and to the rest of the world.

Not the right thing from the point of view of the potential customer. The lawful thing, perhaps, but the two don't have to be one and the same. (Even D&D alignments "know" that much :)))
Although Giana Sisters - Twisted Dreams has a pretty good soundtrack, there is no option to purchase it here, in contrast to Steam.

They are available elsewhere, they go on the list.
NecroVision, for instance, is shown on Steam with the notice "Low Violence: German low violence version only available with German language". It is not on this list here because we can't seem to agree whether a crippled (i.e. censored) game is better than no game.

... why is it always the soundtrack.

I wonder if region locked games should be included at all since there is a list for thsoe already and as we all know there still are ways to get those games here even if they are region locked.

These many different lists we have sometimes overlap. The region locked games list all region locked games (which are on GOG), this list only has games which treat GOG customers worse than other stores.

True but in these cases it's not the games/devs/publishers that are treating GOG customers worse - it's simply GOG. It's up to GOG if they lock a game to certain countries or not and as it has been said in the case of FarCry not doing so could lead to problems for GOG so they don't have that much of a choice in that matter. (They could use the censored version instead but I would consider that to be much worse tbh).
