Offender: GOG.com

Reason: Lack of control of spam, clear disinterest in having a community in spite of several social media sites suddenly imploding.

Likely causes: Apathy of central management and/or owing to far too many holidays taken consecutively by staffing members.

Date of occurrence: Since approximately the start of the period of Summer.

As far as I can tell, people have tried contacting this mysterious "GOG.com" but to little avail as everyone there seems to be on vacation at the moment which seems like a systematically bad way to manage vacations.

The Kingsway update is two years late, but it does finally bring the game up to par with Steam, so you can probably take it off the list.

Again.... I hope they won't "forget" us too long this time.
I didn't see Chef: A Restaurant Tycoon Game (https://www.gog.com/en/game/chef_a_restaurant_tycoon_game) on the list, and it caught me by surprise. It's missing at least 2 paid DLC: Pizza & Baked Goods (https://store.steampowered.com/app/2057810/Chef_Pizza__Baked_Goods/) and Cocktails & Drinks (https://store.steampowered.com/app/2375390/Chef_Cocktails__Drinks/). It's also likely behind on updates (not sure what the Steam version is, but GOG is at 1.125). Some new updates between those two DLC also added new language support, so expect that to be missing as well (I haven't tested it). So, yeah, this deserves to go on the list of shame.

Spellforce 3 AI skirmishes aren't available without an internet connection. You don't need Galaxy but you need to be connected. This isn't required on the Steam version funnily enough.
Crimsonland
Missing latest patch from 21 November 2022, containing "64-bit + Ukrainian localization + tweaks".

And these skirmishes are a single player feature, right? They should not require other players.

Yeah it's clearly labelled 'AI Skirmish', and it's completely separate from human vs human menus.

Jagged Alliance 3: "Official" mod (ShowHitChance) from the developer only available through SteamWorkshop, not public, so it's only available to Steam customers.

So far no answer from THQ support or in the JA3 community forum. A steam user uploaded the mod for us, but we should not have to rely on that.

I don't own JA3 yet, but there's a 2nd mod called Big Guns on the dev's steamworkshop page.

Can't say I'm too surprised, given that it's Haemimont Games (of Omerta and Victor Vran infamy). Unwishlisted the game, and will not buy it on steam either.

Does this mean anyone not using Steam is screwed out of mods? I remember Jagged Alliance Back in Actions almost needing a mod to be fun. Sad times

I'm not informed well, but what was the issue with Omerta and Victor Vran?

It's been a while (10+ years for Omerta, 8 for Victor Vran) and my memory is a bit rusty, but the following is the gist of it.

Omerta was one of the first games with DLCs on GOG, possibly the very first (before that, "complete editions" was a major GOG principle, just like "DRM-free" or "no regional pricing"). After four DLCs were released, GOG had several special sales that made a big deal of selling the game with all its DLCs (four at the time). A couple of months (or weeks) after all the hoo-haa, Haemimont released a fifth DLC. That's why we have the oddly-named "Omerta: City of Gangsters (4 DLCs included)". This trick has been done by others since, but Omerta was the first on GOG.

Victor Vran was the first --- and I believe so far the only --- game on GOG to have a one-time-use-only exclusive in-game item. That's right, a fully DRM'd one-time-use-only "bonus". The forum storm in the release thread was huge (quantitatively bigger than Hitman, despite GOG being much smaller than), so much so that Haemimont finally caved in and after a while added it as a regular item in the offline installer.
