I almost felt like I was the odd one out here. I do know that when growing up, I was deathly afraid of any roller coaster which had a loop on it; but when I hit my teens, I rode my first double-loop coaster with my eyes open! I loved it.

I played Descent when it came out, it was awesome to have 360 degrees of movement, being able to fly upside down if you wanted, and yeah, it was pretty trippy, but groundbreaking at the same time.

The only thing that really made me feel "sick" was when I was in elementary school riding the bus after eating a bowl of cornflakes and trying to read a book. For some reason, reading a book on a moving vehicle on a full stomach never agreed with me. Ever since then, I have never eaten breakfast.

There was a secret level in Quake as well (through a gate in a pool on the 2nd level if I recall correctly) called "Ziggurat Vertigo", which was a level in where there was low gravity and you could almost "fly" around while jumping. I wonder if that also made others' a bit queasy.

The game Rage... not sure if it's on PC, I played it on PS3. Great game, didn't really like it until I took it back to Blockbuster (yeah, that long ago lol), but something about it just made me dizzy. Occassional frantic gameplay, first person shooter stuff.

There was some other game like Rage that was some INSANELY frantic FPS... Bulletstorm! That game I can't even play. Tried, failed, accepted the loss.

Another one is Castlevania: Harmony of Despair (or Dissonance? I can never remember.) Again, awesome game! BUT there are only 7 levels without purchasing DLC, which get tiring after a while. Plus, it's mainly platform/rpg hybrid where you're grinding for items constantly. Love the game, very fun to play, but I can only go back to the main menu and rummage through my items so many times without throwing my controller at a wall LOL!

Eh, thing is that we're talking about different kind of "secret levels" but that is a spoiler. :)

Ah, after seeing that, it reminds me of the "Maniac Mansion" game they embedded in "Day of the Tentacle"!

Doing something else while moving can make you feel sick. I remember trying to play Wipeout Pure on the PSP while riding backwards on a train...That was fun until I found a whole new appreciation for the power button and the view out the window of the train to see what we were actually passing.

Regarding Rage: Don't know what it was, I played it on PC and it made me a bit queasy, not sick but it didn't sit right with me. The fact that it was a rather shoddy game both technically and gameplay wise didn't help me with it.

Psychonauts gives me motion sickness if I play for more than an hour or so, for some reason. I'm not sure exactly why, because there are plenty of similar games that don't.

Dead Island causes migraines unless the bloom is disabled. The bloom can only be disabled with a fan-made tool, though, because Deep Silver loves migraines.

I could never play Wolfenstein 3D for long. Something about the movement gave me motion sickness. No other game has really done that.

I'm not particularly sensitive when it comes to this kind of stuff but the one game that's actually made me feel a tad uncomfortable with its ridiculous headbob was Unreal 2. It's literally insane how much the character jumps to the sides while just moving forward.
Probably the complete lack of acceleration. I guess your brain is uncomfortable with the abrupt and quick movement, it's sure as hell extremely unnatural.

Last (very bad) game was the first Zelda on GameCube....before that many many games for the Amiga thanks to the monitor (1084?) with interlace

Hmm, any on a display I sit too closely to that isn't top down. I had to get rid of a 23" monitor and downsize to a 19" 900p monitor.

Console wise, mario 64. I'd play as long as I could stand it, and then go lay down for an hour. Got every star though.

Never had a problem. But when it rains I get the worst migraine. I'm super dizzy right now. Stupid rain.

Are you playing Descent in dosbox or with Rebirth? Game is much easier on the eyes with rebirth.
