I know the "London missions" expansions of Grand Theft Auto were set in 1960s London (I believe the only GTAs set in real-world cities), but I've no clue whether they tried to accurately recreate the parts of the city represented, or simply plopped in some landmarks and called it London.

ZFR: Microsoft Flight Simulator 98 had these. I suppose other "games" in the series did too, but this is the only one I own.

cool discovery. really bizzare :D
Akiba's Trip features digitalized japanese nerd mekka akihabara, complete with real locations and real flyers from stores around the area in the game.

It's pretty average though, the writing is so stupid it works and generally endearing but the combat really just gets irritating after a while

Duke it out in DC was an official expansion pack for DukeNukem 3D. Very cool if your goal was explore major landmarks using the DN game engine. But pretty crappy if you wanted fun game play. Unfortunately, being to close to the real world made for bad level design.

Someone earlier mentioned MSR. I was on vacation in London when struck by overwhelming déjà vu. Took me a minute to realize the section of St James's park I was walking through was one id raced through about zillion times playing MSR a. Decade before. But Dreamcast only, right? No PC version?
You can download the entire country of Denmark in 1:1 scale for Minecraft.

They mean the first Grand Theft Auto released in 1997, it had an expansion pack which was set in London.

Grand Theft Auto: London 1969 was a mission pack for the original Grand Theft Auto for both PC and the original PlayStation. There was a second expansion as well, set 8 years before London 1969 and called (appropriately enough) London 1961, but it was apparently PC only. (I could have sworn there was a 2-in-1 collection for the PS1 called Grand Theft Auto: The London Missions, but when I Googled it just now, I only see info on 1969 for that platform.)

What do you mean by "they"? I'm most definitely a singular moose, not plural meese!

Amsterdoom featured 'real' locations.
It's really hard to think of a game that hasn't been mentioned yet...
