hi all,
i would like to gather some games in which is player moving in real model of real cities if exist any.
i suppose the games would be more often such, there is somehow reasoned driving car in.. i dont know..
i like the idea of get oriented in remote city like when i traveled cris-cros over icelandian reykjavik on google streets.

but now i mean normal games, not frolic based on google maps. doesnt depend on age, graphics quality or gameplay fun potential. just games which use real city plan. better seen from steering wheel or from eyes than from above or izometric.

if you have some ideas, please leave your tips! heap of thanks to you!

edit 1: it can be bad unknown game or game did as driving school simulator or bus driver or just walking and sightseeing, old fps shooter mod ... whatever just playable on PC

edit 2: i found, that euro truck simulator reportedly contains real tracks trought europe. i suppose that more likely landscape and nature next to highway than at least bit of cities

Offhand, the only games I can think of are the Stalker games - which include recreated sections of the Chernobyl Exclusion zone - including the NPP and sections of Pripyat. However, they have of course made some changes to account for the fact its a game - but parts are about as accurate as you can get.

Theres a youtube video somewhere comparing sections actually.
Seems that LA Noire is using a past model of LA.

But i don't think that you can reproduce a city into a game with the today's tech. Really small parts at best.

Yup - forgot about that one.
Also, Sleeping Dogs has some small parts from Hong Kong if i read correctly.
The Project Gotham Racing series (and its predecessor, MSR)
The 1999 game Midtown Madness is set in Chicago, and was advertised as faithful to that city.
Fallout 3 is set in Washington DC (kinda looking like it does now)

Watch_Dogs is set in Chicago, I believe they have been faithful when doing it.

Then there's historical recreations of cities in the Assassins Creed games.
Dave Gilbert has used a number of real locations through the Blackwell series, if that counts.

The OMSI games seem to replicate some of Berlin bus lines quite accurately.
I haven't played The Getaway but supposedly it implements a quite accurate recreation of London.
There's also Vin Diesel's Wheelman which is set in Barcelona, but the city is loosely modelled, basically it's just a collection of its landmarks.
Infamous Second Son i think?

The sequel uses San Francisco and London.

Another racing game, Midnight Madness uses Paris and a few others that I can't remember.

Of course, going back a ways, "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego".

Also Red Alert 2.

Just wait some years and play Bioshock. Rapture is bound to be built sometime in the future.

More seriously, Driver takes place in San Francisco & Miami as far as I remember, and they look like the real cities. Not sure if there are similarities with the real thing though.

They've done the same in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare too. At least the Hotel, Luna Park & the swimming pool are there and they appear to be like the real thing, as far as I can tell from the pictures (especially those captured from that crazy motorcyclist gal from Ukraine - forgot her name).

Gray Matter take place in Oxford University.

The roads in Cyclemania are real roads in Israel that were video captured.
