Anyone know of any games that take place in England? :) I recently found a game that I had been overlooking for years because I didn't know it took place in England, and I hate the thought that I'm missing out on any more! :P

(I know a lot of strategy-type games take place in an early England, but those usually feel like they could be set anywhere.) London, the countryside or the coast, doesn't matter.

I have played (and loved) the Dark Falls, Barrow Hill, The Lost Crown, Contradiction, Black Mirror, and The Sherlock Holmes games. I know of Gray Matter and Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, they're on my to-play list.

Thanks for any recommendations you may have!
I always liked the old school FMV games sherlock holmes consulting detective on sega cd and PC. I wish GOG would get the new HD versions like steam did.

I'm a huge Sherlock Holmes fan, how did I miss those?! Thanks for pointing those out, going on my wishlist!

FYI, recommendations don't have to be just GOG.
Robin Hood: The Legend of Sherwood

Top of mind adventure games:

Personal Nightmare

And if you can find it, Conquests of the Longbow: The Legend of Robin Hood
Midtown Madness 2, that was in London. Probably not the genre you're after though.

Edit: it wasn't very accurate anyway. It never rains, how can it be in London if it never rains?

I didn't know Personal Nightmare takes place in England. It sure does look exciting! Thanks! And I'll definitely be looking into Conquest if it ever makes it to GOG or Steam. :)

I don't mind most genres, so it's fine. Looks fun, and if it were easier to get ahold of, I would! :)

Any games are fine, doesn't have to be historical. Thanks for your list! I have heard of most of them. I'm afraid I only have a PC, which rule out a few of them.

Yep, I've played that one. Thanks!

Fantasysci5: snip....
Apart from the ones that already have been cited, there's "Sir, you are being hunted" which is so British.....

Also, Britain is available in Euro Truck Simulator 2 so you can drive from Dover to Edinburgh or Plymouth and other cities.

Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective and its many expansions. I know it's a "boardgame" but it's one that you can play by yourself. No dice involved, just skills in investigating. A lot of reading, going through clues, through maps etc. all in Victorian London. It's pretty much a must for Sherlock Holmes (and London) addicts.

Hmm... I think Alter Ego and Dark Years : London
Mobil 1 Rally Championship I absolutely loved its super long rally stages.
Ben There, Dan That! and Time Gentlemen, Please.
Here is a list of games set in England. It's probably not complete, but you should find something new there.
