Just England, or Great Britain, United Kingdom, the British Isles?

Rhiannon: Curse of the Four Branches
Hector : Badge of Carnage
Clive Barker's Undying
If I remember correctly The Clou! took place in London.

And I think you can play England (or Great Britain?) In Democracy 3.
no onres mentioned "we happy few"
Broken Sword 3 (Sleeping Dragon) has you globe trotting a bit and you visit Glastonberry after leaving France.

Sir, You are being hunted is very old school steampunk type british setting

Euro Truck Simulator has loads of places to visit and monuments to see even if the roads aren't quite right, you see Angel of the North heading towards Newcastle even though road layout is incorrect, still you can literally stay in the UK on it if you wish.

Assassins Creed Syndicate is set in Victorian England

Hellgate London which is not available digitally but you can pick up boxed copies cheap enough now and I believe you can play it without an online connection.

The Secret World which is an MMO has sections set in England.

War of the Roses which is an online multiplayer game

Medieval Total War series

Medieval 1 & 2 on PS1

Defender of the Crown
Pretty much every Tomb raider game.
Part of Broken Sword 5 the serpent's curse takes place in London.
One of the Hitman games also features an english background.
Any game with "Rugby" in the title.
I also recall playing a PS2 game (don't remember the name) which was similar to GTA. The main character was a former mobster that had to do some missions for the antagonist while trying to find his kidnapped daughter

P.S. All of Europa Universalis but that might be "cheating" since it encompasses most of the planet.

there was an RTS based on Reff Waynes War of the Worlds.
To be honest, I'm not quite sure if this plays in GB or in the US, but for some reasons (maybe the school uniform?) I always thought of it as a "British" game:

"Bully: Scholarship Edition" (Canis Canem Edit)

It was the US if I'm not mistaken.

Yeah, I guess, you're right...after all, it had baseball bats, but not cricket bats...and I think, the traffic was right-handed, instead of left-handed.
The PS2 GTA type game is The Getaway and its sequel Black Monday, primarily set in London and is about London gangsters

And there's actually a GTA London. :)

First thing that came to mind: Anno 1602, but that's because one of the ingame songs is Greensleaves which always makes me think of England. Then again the reason for that is probably because I have a 2 CD set called Lie back and think of England, and the first song on disc 1 is Greensleeves :P

Fantasysci5: Anyone know of any games that take place in England? :) I recently found a game that I had been overlooking for years because I didn't know it took place in England, and I hate the thought that I'm missing out on any more! :P

(I know a lot of strategy-type games take place in an early England, but those usually feel like they could be set anywhere.) London, the countryside or the coast, doesn't matter.

I have played (and loved) the Dark Falls, Barrow Hill, The Lost Crown, Contradiction, Black Mirror, and The Sherlock Holmes games. I know of Gray Matter and Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, they're on my to-play list.

Thanks for any recommendations you may have!
GTA London 1969...was set in Swinging sixties London, actually quite fun. But probably difficult to get nowadays.

EDIT: Oh, it's already been mentioned...sorry!
