saramakos: Fountain of Dreams (a semi-sequel to Wasteland by EA). I admit it was pretty poor but it was my first ever CRPG and to this day I still fire it up occasionally for a bit of nostalgia.
I know how that's like. Chrono Cross was the first JRPG I ever got into and I'll always love that game, warts and all. I wouldn't say it's hated by any means, but I do think it gets a bad rap from people who wanted Chrono Trigger 2.
Liked the demo version of Bad Day L.A. - would buy the full version here.
Liked X-Blades, its mindless button mashing, but if you listen to some music in the background you can relax and enjoy a decent (in my oppinion at least) hack and slash.

I liked that one too.

Culdcept: Magic meets Monopoly in a blend I have yet to see matched.
Disaster Report and Raw Danger: Very Japanese B-Movie survival games.

Breja: Alpha Protocol. I had great fun with it, with the story, dialogue and mostly unique mix of action/spy genre and RPG.
That's like a cult game and many seemed too harsh judging it during release. Personally I enjoyed it a great deal.

Anyway, here's a bunch of mediocre but still enjoyable games:
Gorasul: The Legacy of the Dragon
Mage Knight: Apocalypse
Deus Ex: Invisible War
Archangel
When it comes to commercial games, there's:
Boiling Point: Road to Hell (aka Xenus)
The Wonderful End of the World
Starscape
Red Ace Squadron Pro
Realms of Chaos
Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake (NOT Metal Gear Solid 2)
Lethal Tender
Excelsior - Phase Two: Errondor

For freeware there's:
DBQuest
Unrelenting 2: Stonehenge
Sub-Zero Conditions
Sub-Zero Conditions 2
Commando (by Fallen Angel Industries)
Hardcity: The Chronicals of Max Slade
Assault Trooper
Ainevoltas 2
Fallenwood
I also really, really liked Heroes of MIght & Magic IV. I liked the campaings more than in any HoMM before honestly, mostly for the stories, and a lot of changes to the gameplay I found to be very enjoyable. Sure, it was different, but I felt that HoMM perfected that formula, so reinventing the franchise a bit was in my opinion the right idea, and I though it was done mostly well. I'm not sure if it qualifies as somethin "only I like" however, it was never exactly "hated", and did get two expansions, and with time it seems to have had something of a positive reevaluation.
Okay, can we change the name of the thread to "Games only you seem to like that tinyE HAS ACTUALLY HEARD OF"? XD
Let me see...

I'm quite found of Vivisector: Beast Within, can't even remember how I've got to know this game, and had quite awful time with it (especially since I had to rely on piracy and a ton of different patches to get it running), the story is dreadful, the gameplay is barebones, the graphics are aged, don't get me started on the voice acting and still, I can't help but like the bugger. There is this perfect summary of what I'm talking about (so I guess I'm kind of cheating since clearly I'm not the only one who likes it :P ).

I wish this game was available on GOG or Steam, so I can experience his awful glory once again.

There's also Equilibris mod that makes the game more balanced. Lack of capitol, unit upgrades and random map generator like in HOMM3 otherwise I enjoyed HOMM4 a great deal.
Classic Wizardry games, particularly Wizardry 4.

Dragon Warrior (NES version). Sometimes it's nice to just walk around in circles fighting enemies for experience without worrying about being overleveled.

Dragon Wars, which most people have never heard of. (I did run into somebody in real life who had actually heard of the game, but that was only one person.)

I was going to say Shadow Man, but I think TinyE actually said it was one of his favorite games as well.

True?

Nirth: Lack of capitol, unit upgrades
I actually liked the fact they replaced upgrades with choosing one of two possible units while building the town. It gave more interesting options than upgrades did, where you most times upgraded all units, because why wouldn't you (with some exceptions)? Now there was more strategy to it, and it made playing with the same faction far more varied from one scenario to another.

I like it, not love it. It's way too damn easy to get lost.
