Would the following count?

Earth 2140 DOS version (enhanced A.I.)
Rune Gold (original version)
Hidden & Dangerous Deluxe Edition

That those aren't playable in Galaxy is baffling, especially Earth 2140 DOS as the default Windows version is known to have broken oppponent AI. I may be forgetting others.

In what way are they not playable through Galaxy? Do they count as bonuses (and are therefor not unbundled) or do they have the red text "Not available yet" beside them?

At least the Dos version of Earth 2140 is a bonus goodie.

They count as bonuses, but there's no way to play them through Galaxy at all. No card, no "Not available yet" or anything. I've even tried to copy/paste over the default versions with those versions with no success. Galaxy will not run those versions.

Okay, thank you!

Added the Earth 2140 DOS version (enhanced A.I.), Rune Gold (original version) and Hidden & Dangerous Deluxe Edition to the list of games that are not unbundled (and therefor not available through Galaxy).

Much thanks!

Yeah, as much as gog has been pushing Galaxy and finally got me on board with it, there are still some things missing from it I would like.

Here's a wishlist entry for this very problem:

Lol, i've noticed. :)
Just thought of another one though I haven't installed it on Galaxy to test it, Wing Commander 4 (DOS version). It's in the bonus downloads and doesn't have a seprarate Galaxy entry so I imagine it's not possible to run it in Galaxy either.

Since any game/alternative version placed in the extras is considered unsupported, it's not so baffling as to why they wouldn't promote them via Galaxy.

Granted, they could elevate something like Earth 2140 (DOS) to be the main game and leave the Windows version as an extra, but maybe the publisher insists otherwise.

Not always the case though. Lords of the Realm for example allows both the original and CD ROM versions to be played in Galaxy.

Whatever the reason, that's not good in some cases for games. I'd like to be able to play the version of my choosing in Galaxy as some of those have noticeable differences and issues both gameplay-wise and/or technical-wise.

Heh, enhanced. More like functioning. AI in Windows version is not working at all rendering the game useless. The DOS version has to be played if one wants to have AI opponent, so if it is not possible to play it through Galaxy then basically the whole game is not available.
Games offered as bonus goodies / extras are not designed to be available through the GOG Galaxy, as they are not officially supported and offered 'as-is'

Always the case. None of the versions of Lords of the Realm are available as extras. They are, instead, unbundled in the library.

Sure, they could. But since they don't want to offer direct support for those versions, a more realistic approach would be to allow us to add any game we want to the client (similar to Steam's add non-Steam game option).

Kinda defeats the purpose of using a client though. I like having all my gog games at the ready in Galaxy. And some of those "bonus" versions are fixed versions of otherwise broken games. (See Earth 2140)

This would be a good solution i'd be happy with.
