Nyktouros: GOG has turned down the new Soldak game Din's Legacy (though they have all the rest Soldak games).

Robette: Maybe they got tired of listing nearly identical games over and over... I actually liked Din's curse originally, but playing Zombasite felt nearly identical and I saw no reason to continue after finishing a few worlds and reaching around level 30.
Zombasite itself just looks like an uninspired Diablo clone with none of the things that made Diablo worth playing.

OHMYGODJCABOMB: Does anyone (especially Barry_Woodward) know if Vendetta - Cruse of Raven's Cry was rejected by GOG curators or TopWare Interactive didn't even try to release this game here?

It seems to me that it was rejected, because the latest DLC for Two Worlds II was released in 2017 and it's available on GOG. Vendetta was released two years before that DLC.

I tried to find out anything from TopWare Interactive support (it was about a month ago), but they didn't answer me.
Hard to tell... but with only 45% positive reviews and this: https://steamcommunity.com/id/spazfrag/recommended/386280/ maybe they didn't even try.

Well, Call of the Tenebrae has almost the same percentage of positive reviews (47%), but it's here. Maybe GOG made an exception because it's a DLC for a game that already was here?

As for the negative reviews, some players are just overly dramatic. I played it a lot on Steam and I can say that Vendetta is "broken" as well as Two Worlds series. Yeah, it has some rough edges, but it's still quite playable.

At least it's definitely less broken than Sea Dogs: Caribbean Tales, which is a real mess, but it's available on GOG for some reason.

they allow jefff vogel's games tho. and alot of his detractors just claim he makes the same game over and over again. does not help that from about geneforge 5 onwards he was starting to reuse alot of assets and never making new ones.

GOG seems to strive to have games complete and series complete, no matter how bad some entries are (see Gothic 3 add-on and Master of Orion 3). It's an OCD I can relate to :-) Might explain the Sea Dogs Entry. Reviews are all over the place though 1 to 5 stars...

Two Worlds 2 was actually a really good game, esp. the expansion (Pirates of the Flying Fortress)
As for Vendetta "quite playable" maybe doesn't cut it - esp if it's true Topware (not the best famed publisher even when I was young, and for a reason) basically re-sold a half-fixed mess under a new name.

Well in some cases they may be basically forced to bring the bad with the good, like maybe Activision said "You want Soldier of Fortune 1 and 2? Okay but you have to bring the 3rd entry also." (And I'm okay with that.)

I love how you just keep lurking this thread white knighting GOG for rejecting games, even though GOG has released every previous Soldak Entertainment game.
Well, just as I expected.

GOG did not activly said No. But they did not pick it up.
Let's help TopWare Interactive / Reality Pump bring Vendetta - Curse of Raven's Cry here:
https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/vendetta_curse_of_ravens_cry

This game is a pretty decent action-RPG (don't let those outdated reviews fool you), which is definitely not worse than Leo the Lion or any other recent "definitely not too niche" release.

Oh, and don't forget the awesome soundtrack:

Lost in Vivo

Absolutely teriffic, shit-your-pants scary horror game. Rejected by gog. Jesus Christ...

Here's one for the new year's resolution, gog: Get in touch with the devs of Lost in Vivo (KIRA) and Detention (Red Candle Games) and release these two outstanding games. I hope to see them here in time for the Halloween sale at the latest.

Guess nothing really changed and last years releases of Din's legacy and Grimoire were just false flags to raise hope while still following an SJW style agenda.

Maybe horror games actually are niche. I know I'm too much of a coward to even try them.

I dunno. Some of them seem to have sold considerably well. According to gog tradition, they always release some horror games on or around Halloween, so if they're going to release horror games anyway, they may as well release two good ones, hence I'm suggesting these two. Since both have been out for a while, they could launch with nice 50%-75% discounts, which would entice a good numer blind buys. The following positive word of mouth will do the rest. I'm confident both titles would do very well on gog, despite the low number of wishlist votes.

Someone recommended LISA: The Painful to me and it turns out it isn't here (despite 400+ votes and 95% on Steam).

Curation™ strikes again?

But wouldn't that actually qualify as a niche game? 400+ people have expressed their interest in the last 5 years. And of those people how many would actually expect to buy the game discounted?

GOG speculates that the games they are releasing, would end up selling more than the games it rejects. The longer they curate games, the more successful the process should become for GOG. Isn't LISA a clear example that the process actually works?

For once, I'm going to disagree. The Steam metrics for this title are great.
200,000-500,000 sold with 42 peak concurrent players yesterday (SteamSpy)
7,662 reviews (95% positive)

This for a title bundled just once and had never received more than a 75% discount.
Checking the graph, there are consistent reviews since its release in Dec 2014 with no crazy review spike associated with its single bundling.
This game hasn't had trouble selling on Steam unlike many of the titles certain people like to complain about, has excellent reviews, and isn't bundled for pennies or given away regularly for free.

The GoG Wishlist is an unreliable brigaded mess, but Steam metrics say to me that this title is worthy if GoG can get it despite its age.
