NuffCatnip: I think he means more than the age gate, maybe he means a form you type your personal data in?
If so, no thanks.
If its optional I'm all for it. You do not enter data? Do not see the "evil" games; situation as is. Enter data? Get the account unlocked for everything. If so, no thanks.
Probably passport number verification.

Leroux: You mean the "age verification system" where they just ask for the date of your birth? I wonder why that didn't work so well ... :P
anothername: Probably passport number verification. It sounds rather decent.

It sounds awful, that reminds me of Games for Windows Live. I had to create a separate account to redeem Bioshock 2 as I wasn't 18. Which obviously means people beside me and my parents get to decide what I should be playing. >_<

Makes only sense for us. On a additional bright side: If some self proclaimend gov-like elements forces similar laws in your country gog would then already have the infrastructure to just take you on board too :)

timppu: Yeah, I was referring to German governments who seem to think laws like these are a good idea. I didn't really mean that Merkel (or anyone from her government) had just now decided to enforce the law.
The real problem is not that someone is enforcing such a law, the problem is that there is such a law to begin with. Vote responsibly, or if that fails, revolt. To the barricades! Viva los enquealosdos!!!
Well, like someone else mentioned already, these laws are decades old. So it's not so much about voting people who create such laws, but about voting people who'd care enough to change them. Currently, with all the other shit going on in the world and other (frankly more important) issues to deal with, it's on noone's top priority list (neither that of the politicians, nor that of most voters, which influences politicians). The real problem is not that someone is enforcing such a law, the problem is that there is such a law to begin with. Vote responsibly, or if that fails, revolt. To the barricades! Viva los enquealosdos!!!

How about giving a source instead of copypasting the list from someone else? How I know you just stole it? Rise of the Triad: Dark War wasn't on the list as I've missed it at first and only added it 1h ago.
Since I can't post links here: for UNCUT! group.

I was actually advised of ROTT 2013 being pulled by a colleague. You'll note that I already had it in my list on SchnittBerichte.com at 2:10 pm. Since I can't post links here: for UNCUT! group.
I appreciate the work you do on For UNCUT! (linky) but you don't have a monopoly on information.
