'Murica is really going nuts with all the "mental conditions". And, of course, they will have a handful of pills that will treat the "condition". I find it kinda interesting that they have a problem with people playing video games, being mad, crying from time to time, but walking around like a zombie, high on pills, perfectly fine.
I don't deny the fact that games can be addictive, and I know that are people that are suffering from mental conditions that can be classified as "gaming addiction", but I bet that the definitions will be made in a way that almost everyone will suffer from it, how is the case with depression.
TheSaint54: I read that article as well. If you speak to some of the teenagers around me you would already know something is wrong. All they want to do is play games, not go outside and hike, ride bikes, exercise, fish, etc..
So? What if they would find more joy in playing chess or reading? Would you still consider their passions abnormal? These activities are as "harmful" as playing video games.
