there is absolutely NOTHING that people will exploit to make a quick buck....
pharmaceuticall companies-people's needs for medication
psychiatrists- peoples phobias
Gaming companies- peoples gaming addictions
YES gaming is an addiction, just like smoking, alcohal. over eating, or anything else society places a "bad" lable on.
What gets me is the "high moral ground" people think they can stand on... "you need help, you play video games too much Bla bla bla"
Guess what my habbit keeps me out of trouble, jail, drugs, alchohal, cigarets, extramerital sex, thieving, and I can function after an allnighter of gaming unlike Uncle Shmo who frequently drinks an allnighter to stupidity....

Dejavous: Roasts can be over done....
Acting can be over done...
Thinking can be over done....
Should I go on?
I'll add some... Acting can be over done...
Thinking can be over done....
Should I go on?
Sex can be over done.... "For me thats never over done.. more like never stop!"
Drinking can be over done.... Not alcohol.. :P
Wiping one rear end can be over done...
I really don't want to go on!
When will the idiocies ever end? WHO should worry about more important issues than people enjoying there time at home or with friends.. Like a zombie plague or some such... ;)

Somehow I think if we're going to be talking about addiction we should be doing it with a group of sexy girls in tight skirts playing instruments behind us.

Ten? I remember arguments with my parents and some of my friends' parents from nearly 25 years ago about this issue after they read some alarming newspaper article about how dangerous those computer games were.
I bet some news outlet ran a story along these lines the very day after Pong was released. :P

1992 and the debate around Mortal Kombat perhaps? That brings back memories.

Hmm, makes you wonder when they'll finally make Internet Addiction Disorder official.
Oh yeah. That'll make 'em insurance companies scream.

yeah I have some doubts about games these days.
monthly subscriptions for the ability to play a game with other people after already buying the game. if you get a pack of cards, would you want to pay the manufacturer of those cards a fee every time you had a game with your friends? you're basically paying the company for your friends' presence and time.
but even worse than that. you look at these games like destiny, or battlefront or COD now or whatever. the game itself is already fucked around with for the purpose of monetization. it's like grind. how in the fuck is grind now this way? how did that get to be a thing? playing this "game" that's already just a money generation machine. playing a lot of slots is looked down upon but these games now are fine? why? there is a bunch of similarity.
so spending a lot of time in that. why would you? maybe it's more toxic than people want to think.

Not the Twilight Zone. I've seen them all and have them on DVD. Outer Limits might though.
