NES horror game, eh?

Point_Man: Done. So if you pre-order today, you're basically getting 15 GOG games that have never been released on GOG or Steam before for $20. It's a gamble but hopefully it results in some gems.
All subscribers who purchased a subscription on or before January 6th, 2017 will still be receiving a game in Jan and in Feb.
I think I will get 13 GOG games for $20, since I just pre-ordered it minutes ago.

Point_Man: The first game is supposedly WayForward's Lit. Hopefully it's some variation of the Wii version, and not the shitty IOS version.
It is a bonus game, not included in the subscription, so I think I will not get it.

Nah, signing up today still counts. You still get the bonus games.

MrFortyFive: Lastly, we're excited to announce that we've been working with GOG.com to ensure that every game that appears in the GAMEPUMP service will be available first on GOG.com as a DRM-FREE version of the game. Subscribers will now have the option to redeem their DRM-FREE GOG.com version of the game by default and will be given the option to forfeit their DRM-FREE copy in exchange for a STEAM key (once available on STEAM).

DRM-FREE support was a huge request from our audience and we're happy to be able to honor that request!"
Originally I had no interest in GamePump, but if they're working with GOG and all of the games will be available here, I'll give them a shot. I trust that GOG wouldn't be working with them if the games weren't expected to meet curation standards.

You know what comes to mind? LJN. Except all those were licenced and terrible.

The only other "horror" game that comes to mind is Monster Party?

Sweet Home is a nice Famicom/NES horror game, with English translation patch available.

Resident Evil was intended to be its remake, and some elements of Resident Evil do come from Sweet Home.
Interesting that they offer to give a gog drm free version or steam key, would like to hear from them in the future what the subscribers have chosen.

tammerwhisk: 9/10 times "mystery" sales are a colossal scam. I really don't see this panning out well.
And the 1/10th time, it turns out like Lootcrate. Promising but eventually shit because it turns out good merch is expensive whereas shit like Funco-pop are bulk buy.
I'm interested in this, but I still think preordering/subscribing is a bad idea.
I don't know. Still sounds somewhat fishy to me. Can someone from GOG verify that this cooperation is actually a thing?
I gave them the benefit of doubt and ordered. $20 for a year isn't that much and if at least four games are good, it's worth the money for me. And if they really made a deal with GOG, then I'm quite optimistic. the curation here works pretty well most of the time.
Surely GOG could at least confirm that they're involved in this partnership, since the other party has announced it. Unless I hear something official from GOG I'm staying well away
That's a lot of GOG keys incoming to the trading scene :)
Nvm. Silly question.

If I understand them correctly you have to decide if you want the DRM-free copy on GOG or the Steam key.
