On serious note, the game is a casual puzzle platformer that's pretty fun. I beat it a few years ago and it was good.

I did that for you, it's harmless. And Paradise seems to mean a beach resort or something.
In Granny in Paradise, Granny's goal is to rescue her cats from bad guys and dogs and guide her precious kitties to safety. As Granny, you'll have to climb up and down ladders, jump off cliffs and dig holes to catch the bad guys. Each time you save a group of kitties, you progress to the next level. And to make things even more fun in this entertaining Arcade game, Granny does not disappoint with lots of witty and funny remarks that endear her even more.

There's also Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap, which might be a bit easier (in particular, it lacks the races and other rather tense gimmicks that Cursed Kingdom has).

I'm also wondering if Celeste (not on GOG, but available DRM-free on itch.io) would work; the controls are simple (platforming with an air dash), the game starts out reasonably gentle before becoming especially difficult, the game pushes you to get better (and you quickly respawn after death), and there's even an option to slow the game down if necessary.

When I replied up there I assumed you were joking so I replied in jokingly manner. Apparently not. Sorry about that. To explain the joke, heaven is supposed to be a pleasant place. So Google search of Granny in paradise is according to my joke, a picture of a Granny enjoying herself in a very pleasant place.

What the game is all about is already explained on other answer. And paradise in the game refers to nice and cozy tropical holiday resort
