NovumZ: Thanks Serren for the link.
- I was just in disbelief yesterday and mentally exhausted of what is about to come of my and others hard earned hobby.
GR00T: Well, as long as you have your GOG backups and keep your old rig(s), you'll be able to play your games.
As for the future, it's all going the way of on-line/streaming (movies, tv, gaming, etc) There will come a time where you own nothing with respect to entertainment and will rent it all. Total control for the content creators, content providers, and the big companies (Apple, Microsoft, etc) that enable you to view it. Not exactly a world I look forward to, but I feel it's inevitable. Until that time though, I'll enjoy my entertainment the way I want. If that time comes to pass before I pass on, I'll likely not be watching new tv/movies or gaming much, but I'll still have my backups and my physical copies to enjoy.
But Groot. We must resist this Oligarchy. Microsoft did not pay for components in our computers it belongs to us! The way windows 10 operates is utterly ridiculous! If they pay for our hardware then I might be somehow ok with Limited telemetry and key-loggers aka: spying on everything you do on your computer.
