Just one month away.

Well at least I have Day of the Tentacle and Batman v Superman Dawn of Justice to keep me satisfyed for this month.

Character arcs I am interested in so far:

Jaime Lannster
Ser Davos
And a little bit of Tyrion.

I missed season 5 (no Foxtel... pay TV which is the only legal way to watch GoT in Australia) so I'm hanging out for the S5 bluray release in a week or two...

Still no Foxtel... so I may get to watch S6 around this time next year...

Watched it!

So, could it be? Did THAT really happen? Is that it?
The stuff that actually matters next season is mainly Snow's resurrection, the Tower of Joy revelation and Cleganebowl happening or not.

And the Others who are very close to arriving at the Wall and soon all of Westeros.

Until now I have lived vicariously through those who haven’t read the books, revelling in their uncertainty and dread at the potential for a major character to be killed off at any time. Now the show has passed the books, we are all equals. This is what it feels to have no safety net.

I'm scared.
It's gonna suck.
The books have certainly made Jon Snow's resurrection not only a possibility but something very, very likely. The series however has completely removed all such elements that would suggest that. Which means that either he is going to be resurrected and it's going to be a cheesy fanservice event without the long established precedent of the books, or it's simply not going to happen and the Red Lady has been misleading herself and others all along.

Edit: it's also possible that Melisandre, having predicted Jon's fate already, did the old fire god switcharoo again and it was someone else getting ventilated.

There was the suggestion of the Ironborn, who were a major omission from the last series. I think that they have too big a part to play in ensuring the Fire meets the Ice for them to be left out entirely.

Still got no idea what relevance Arya has to the story anymore. She's way too out the way and is on a long path of training.

Most of her Targets are already Dead at this point.

Here is an iinteresting theory of her eventual fate:

Nah, they're just going to hang around for another season. This one is still book stuff, or the very immediate consequences. So expect people to fight the Boltons, and maybe only at the end, another "The others are coming cliffhanger".

I'm both, and neither is wrong.

They should have trolled everybody and ended the show after the end of the Red Wedding and season 3. Just end it right there. No more tv show. If they had it would have gone down as one of the greatest, most controversial moments in television history. As it is, it'll just keep on going until it stops rocking and starts sucking. So far the books are no different.

Law of diminishing returns. It's not just for business managers. Works for the arts as well.

Too many fan services these days. Just because of that, I hope they don't do it. People should stay dead. The same goes for those annoying zombies or whatever they are suppose to be.

I'm looking forward to watch Tyrion and Varys, to me that's what makes the show.
