That guy's got some interesting, well considered theories. Thanks for the link.

Sloths Singing The Theme Song

You're welcome.

markrichardb: Damn you. The Sloth video binge has begun.
LOL so you took it one step further beyond watching them sing - you decided to swerve away from the "Game of Thrones" direction and make the U-Turn into "Holy shit, I need more slothes in my life" territory ;)

He has a lot more and some of them are really facinating. Especially his video on the Others/White Walkers.

I have read just the first novel (TOO MUCH expensive in my country), but i have heard that with this season we are starting to see events that should be in the last novel. Is that right?

I could be wrong, but I think last season had quite a few things from the last novel (a lot of Daenerys' storyline is what I was thinking, along with maybe some of Arya's?).

I finally started the books last Summer. I had to stop at Book Three - I kept hearing that the show was "caught up" to the books... but I had basically experienced quite a few of the "major" events of the show and still had two books left to read. So I promptly stopped reading.

I actually started to wonder, based on where I was in the books and potential plotlines in the show, if this season would "go back over" some Greyjoy stuff, and maybe some more North / Littlefinger scheming in the North stuff. Out of curiousity I picked up Book Four, cracked it open and sure enough, I think the prologue or first chapter is Greyjoy stuff that the show hadn't done. I think it was less than a month later that I saw the show had cast Euron Crow's Eye.

I was VERY excited that I hadn't pushed further into the book series LOL (I decided long ago I was going to be show first, as I'm sure anyone who has been reading GoT threads here might remember ;) ).

Also - you don't have libraries? I took out each and every one of this series from the local library. I'm glad I'm a speedy reader - I had to wait what felt like AGES to stalk down a copy of book one, and that's in a decently large library system. I must have outpaced other readers fairly quickly LOL - by book two I was strolling in to my local and able to pick them up as I finished the previous.

Navagon: The books have certainly made Jon Snow's resurrection not only a possibility but something very, very likely. The series however has completely removed all such elements that would suggest that. Which means that either he is going to be resurrected and it's going to be a cheesy fanservice event without the long established precedent of the books, or it's simply not going to happen and the Red Lady has been misleading herself and others all along.

Edit: it's also possible that Melisandre, having predicted Jon's fate already, did the old fire god switcharoo again and it was someone else getting ventilated.

There was the suggestion of the Ironborn, who were a major omission from the last series. I think that they have too big a part to play in ensuring the Fire meets the Ice for them to be left out entirely.

Still got no idea what relevance Arya has to the story anymore. She's way too out the way and is on a long path of training.
But in season 3 (specifically episode 03x05) Thoros of Myr (another follower of the Lord of Light, like Melisandre) resurrects Ser Beric Dondarrion after he is killed in combat by the Hound. We also learn he's been resurrected several times (forget the number). Granted that was a while ago and its not as built up as the novels, but it certainly doesn't make it seem to be coming out of left field.

I see, thank you for answer. About libraries, i almost don´t have time to visit them. Just a quick look, maybe one or twice at week. Since about four month i´m always on the run.

Ah, well then - don't even attempt to read the books - I think I remember the "shortest" one clocking it at around 600 pages ;)
