We believe you. Relax. :D

If this is indeed because of G2A, you aren't the first victim and no one is going to crucify you for it. In fact, I'll wager the bulk of us are feeling quite bad for you.

I feel sorry for you. Not because of this but because I live on a border with Canada. :P JOKE!

Everyone is going on the "game was gifted from shady key reseller site" when in reality, it would have been removed at least 2 months ago if the key was stolen. I think that if we assume gog thought the friend's pre-paid card was stolen somewhere down the line we might get somewhere as it has been five months since release and nothing happenned
Until he logged on to download it. Granted it may have been removed earlier but we cannot say that for sure. To the OP: ask WHERE your friend bought the game from to the point of fowarding the recepit to you. If the recepit is from any key reseller, You got a game paid from a stolen credit card or disputed paypal transaction. If from GOG, then we know more.

Basically, ask your friend where he got it and to foward to you the recepit. Then post in the thread the site it is from.

GoldOmega, afaik our night shift support team emailed you about 1 hour ago... We do not question that your friend bought the game - the real question is really whether your friend bought it on GOG.com website or bought it somewhere else (and if so... where?)

All in all, the original purchase of this key was done few months ago was indeed done fraudulently and hence the issue - please do get back to us via mail, we'd love to learn more and help you as much as we can.

Maybe because your wishlist is public, but your chat is not.

Would it be too much of a hassle to actually send out a notice when you just randomly remove something from someone's library?
Someone posted a link to an interesting article about key (re)sellers earlier this week in reply to a news article on the Dutch tech site tweakers.net:

If someone wanted to PM you a gift code (but weren't one of your Friends, I'm guessing?), they couldn't. See attached pic.

Ah I see. I need to keep that blocked, though, due to spammers & scammers.
You'll get no criticism from me for your decision. It's your account, you set your own rules. I've been fortunate enough to not get random PMs from spammers or scammers, although I did feel the need to block one user for sending obnoxious messages to me.

Peace out, cub scout!

I'm sure mrkgnao can tweak MaGog to search for changes to our personal library as well. :P
