doug77: Yes I have, I can play the game using that method, but I need it to update to the beta version with galaxy in order to get access to multiplayer, which I can't do. It's odd.

kbnrylaec: Contact GOG Support and ask for a offline beta installer.
Since they provide beta version for Linux, I can not see why they will refuse to provide a beta version for another OS.
Hm good idea. I already contacted them about this 24 hours ago, but they haven't yet replied. The only caveat with that is that as soon as the steam version updates, I'd need a patch or new installer, which seems problematic.
This case seems interesting but can be trivial as well.. I think someone should take a peek on you Galaxy logs.
Please, report the issue at mantis with logs included.
You may find them in: %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\logs
I would like to help you, but I'm neither on Windows nor have a Stardew Valley in my library.
If anyone has working latest beta version of Stardew Valley and using Galaxy, could you be so kind to send OP goggame-#####.info file from the game folder?

Sure is, also add frustrating to that!

I have just done so, hopefully something will come from that. If someone could be so kind as to do that and it might work, that would be amazing. Thanks Mike.

Hmm weird. I've only seen this issue is specific cercumstances. Usually when a game get's removed from your account due to buying via a third party grey site or somehing like that. Another way to see it is logging into Galaxy with a second GOG account where the game files are installed but the account doesn't own the game.

Neither seems to be the case here.

Yep, I bought directly from the GOG website, so that's not the issue. Transaction went through fine, so it must be some sort of error with galaxy communicating to my account.

Thanks! Forgive my ignorance, but what do I do with that / where do I put it? Thanks again for the assistance.

Yea your log files seem to have a lot of errors, I'm looking at them now. If you have a ticket with support and haven't done so, I would attach your Galaxy logs to that ticket. Mantis is fine for reporting bugs but not so fine for getting quick responses.

Seems to show a lot, yeah. Shame I have no idea what any of it means!

I have done, thanks for the tips. My ticket has been open for over 1 day now so hopefully should habe a response soon.

Thanks.
Please, close Galaxy clinet entirely (you may need to find gog icon in notification area, right click and close) Save provided by xyem file as goggame-1453375253.info (replace if necessary) to the Stardew Valley folder and try importing the game in Galaxy. There is a small chance Galaxy may recognize the game correctly this time.
Just an idea, haven't seen your logs yet and not dealing with Windows for quite long time to be honest..

To be honest, I doin't think this is going to work but it can't hurt to try. I found the relevant error message in his logs and it clearly says he does not own product id 1453375253 which is Stardew Valley, so clearly for some reason Galaxy doesn't think he owns the game. Which makes it very unlikley it will allow him to download anything from Galaxy's repo.

Just tried, didn't seem to work. Thanks a lot for trying though, will have to just wait for GOG to get back to me.

I've found it too.. Checking for update to '1453375253' skipped, as ownership verification failed. must be something on GOG db then. Not much we can do about it I'm afraid..

It seems like that is the problem. It's odd, because its in my library on Galaxy, and when I click the buy button on the game page, it takes me to the store which says I already own this game so can only buy as a gift.

Ah, so its clearly some sort of communication error between galaxy and my account. Okay, it seems I just have to hold tight then. Thanks guys for the assistance.

doug77: Thats the problem, I can't, it literally doesn't let me do it, see the pic I attached.
Excuse me. I:m sorry. I was thinking the option was web based on the website side.

Sorry for the trouble.

To answer the other question, you have to have a rep of 7 to upload and attach photos I believe.

edit: I was wondering if somehow you had gotten ahold of the beta, Galaxy took a look at it and saw it being the beta and disallowed it since you hadn;t signed up for it. Nevermind.
