Just wondering if someone can help here.

I purchased stardew Valley yesterday, but can't seem to play the game. On the galaxy client, I can see the game in my library, but when I click it it just says "not connected to galaxy" and everything is greyed out. It had a button at the top that says "buy", as if the client isn't recognising that I've purchased the game? (even though it shows in my library.)

I've tried reinstalling galaxy, no avail. When I right click the game in the library screen and press install, it adds it to the left column but the installation immediately fails. I'm assuming it's because it thinks I don't own the game. Then this process just loops.

Also, I need to play through galaxy as I need the beta build for multiplayer, so im a bit stuck here. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.

Do you have any other games installed and recognized by Galaxy?
Are you sure you're logged in in Galaxy?
Also make sute Stardew Valley is visible on your account
If not, try https://www.gog.com/account/refresh wait a bit and check again.

edit:
If you're logged in to Galaxy with your fb account, sign out and sign in again with the same credentials like in the web browser.
The other way around could be downloading an offline installer through the web browser. Install the game and see if is recognized in Galaxy. If not, click on the GOG logo (top-left Galaxy corner) import the game and let Galaxy update it.

You can play the game without Galaxy. Go to your account:
https://www.gog.com/account

Download the non-Galaxy installer and play.

If you do want Galaxy, you can check this thread for a similar error:
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/gog_galaxy_not_connected

Or try the Galaxy troubleshooting thread:
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/gog_galaxy_official_discussion_thread

Or contact Support.
Thanks for the replies guys.

I need to play through galaxy as it has to be the beta version to play multilayer. It works if I download normally.

I tried refresh, reinstalling galaxy, logging in and out and nothing works. It's like galaxy thinks I haven't bought the game even though its showing in my library.

Other games can be downloaded and work fine, it's just this one. On the games page when I click it in the library it says "not connected to gog server" and when I click connect it asks for a code. It's basically like it thinks I don't own the game. It stays like this if I download from the site and try to import. The game runs, but all the settings are greyed out and it shows the above error on the game page.

Sure can. It shows in my account on Galaxy too. Its weird..

I have, but been waiting 24 hrs for a reply, quite frustrating as I only got this as me and my GF have the week off, so wanted a game to play, but that's been ruined now!
Please make sure you;ve opt'ed in for the beta:

The multiplayer works wiithout Galaxy (played it myself).

There is a separate download link for the beta version.

EDIT: This is only for the Linux version.

Try install the game with non-Galaxy offline installer, and detect the game in Galaxy later.

Damn. No problem, thanks for trying to assist.
Did you try kbnrylaec's solution? That might work.

Yes I have, I can play the game using that method, but I need it to update to the beta version with galaxy in order to get access to multiplayer, which I can't do. It's odd.

Contact GOG Support and ask for a offline beta installer.
Since they provide beta version for Linux, I can not see why they will refuse to provide a beta version for another OS.
