During this wkend I noticed that playtime and achievements for a couple of steam games did not register with Galaxy. This feature worked perfectly before. Games such as Theme h..... 2point Hospital and Total War Warhammer and yes I hear you screaming 'ITS SEGA' stay away from those losers (hear me out, they are really king in the leisure game department) but Greedfall, Focus Interactive I believe, also did not register both hours and achievements. The game of Alpha Centauri I started yesterday, on GoG BTW, the other 3 are steam games, did register.

Is this part due to lazy server updates or something? It would be such a shame to find that one of the prime features, to me at least, registration of gaming hours, knows periods of more or less dysfunctionality.
If you are interested in time tracking, then I can recommend you Game Backup Monitor / GBM. I don't use Galaxy, but I use GBM just for the time tracking function alone. Not for backups, session tracking, or anything else.

The dev is also a GOG user.

this is some great advice, especially if the time log works off line too. then i really find almost no reasons in a lot of games to keep my radio enabled

after a short round of google. i guess this is more of my cup of tea

I remember trying a bit that Gameplay Time Tracker, but it seemed more complicated than what I was looking for, and I didn't have the patience to dig through its options. I'm not interested in achievements, statistics, sessions and so on. Just the total time for a game. I guess you should try them both and see which one suits your needs better.

Also, I see that GTT has been last updated in September 2018, while GBM is still actively developed. Maybe it's worth keeping that in mind, in case your run in some bugs, or something.
Yes, no time tracking here, too.

OK, yea, might as well give GBM a try too, despite GTT comes pretty close to what I require. It did not recognize some oldies but after manually adding those it did manage to recognize up to the developer piece of info.

been adding a whole host of programs such as flawless widescreen, borderless gaming etc amazing how much use i found in using them with some popular older games. GTT and GBM seem to be the extra cherry, this might as well be the last year for norton.... ever since they've added secure mining through the norton launcher they dropped like in the negative as in customer valued... (meaning who needs a security officer when they never go outside)

The only one time I used Galaxy, was driven by the time tracking thing. It did not work as expected and as my web tags were not available there (naive me, I posted a feedback which never got response. How could it if tickets take an eternity?) I dropped it.

Game Backup Monitor & Gameplay Time Tracker look interesting; I'll give them a try sometime.
Thanks for sharing Zimerius & ariaspi
