JK41R4: Has anyone asked anything related to Steam's quality control issues?
Oh yes, of course.

The answer:
There's really not a singular definition of quality, and what we've seen is that many different games appeal to different people. So we're trying to support the variety of games that people are interested in playing. We know we still have more work to do in filtering those games so the right games show up to the right customers.
1/10 would not ask again. :)

Should I be surprised?

Maybe they'll lose money from all that shovelware. Somehow. One day....
Did no one ask him about releasing Half-Life and Portal on GOG?

Well considering how people on GOG buy any old shite just because it is on GOG, I'd assume there are idiots on Steam who do the exact same thing.

Objection! On Steam, it's all NEW shite, and they just buy it because it's on sale. :)

Probably a big no, they could be considered Steam's "exclusives" I guess, so VALVe really wouldn't want to release them here (even though that probably wouldn't hurt them in the slightest).
