Don't be so harsh, poor dude can only afford a single thread. Do you have any idea how expensive it is to open a new one? And don't get me started on the whole hipster idea of participating on other people's threads...

Brazil - levies tax on console gaming, but highly impartial on given on a trade agreement. I say this admitting I might be pulled into it, media foolishly.

You tell.

But within EU, post the "Oracle" EU court ruling there is no ambiguity.

SW is truly owned, not just lent - so after market is logical. The French consumer association has actually sued both Steam and gog to make it happen.

I quite love EU for this! And you should too, no - Steam and Gog equated before consumer? ;-)

But you're paying a 20-25% tax on every digital game purchase, depending on which European country you live in. I think that's crazy.

Being a Finn, I've always thought that 18% was viewed as filthy high VAT...

But why on earth do you imply that tax cohesion is bad?

If you ask me, Luxemburg or Ireland abetting tax evasion against their EU partners is whole lot worse than VAT that pays, for its part, for fairly incorrupt and comprehensive public services.

If you as me, more crazy is the concept that going Ireland or Luxemburg very rich multinationals or individual should seemingly be able to negotiate their tax rate.

That is wrong, I find. I've never been able to negotiate mine, btw.

Not that I wanted to. I want proper low corrupt, transparent public services. To me, progressive tax cohesion is part of that.

Oh, but it is.
Yep it's happening, to all negative people who said it wouldn't hope you learned a thing or two by now.

GOG is stealing your ideas! You should totally sue them. :P
