GameRager: So are you saying it's sadly because it's a bad site in general or BECAUSE people can talk about those things?
It's my main gaming forum so obviously I don't think it's a bad place in general. I'm a big fan of the Bill Maher style freedom to say anything you want, and it lets the idiots show themselves for who they are. However it's still depressing to me that my forum has been turned into a big racist whine fest half the time.

Thanks for the clarification/info. Yeah no one likes to see their favorite hangout change/become "worse" over time, but such is life(with change).

Also did you hear about Bill Maher saying recently that S*Ws(the bad ones) are a bunch of whiners getting what they deserve(basically)? Priceless it was.

Yes, it's actually worse here though as each game on Steam has a different moderator. Some of them allow certain things, others are massive censors.

That said moderators don't seem to be doing much these days about certain threads that clearly violate their guidelines... so maybe all topics are fine now.

Your "free speech" exists in any online discussion forum as far as the rules and the site/moderators allow. This isn't an issue about your "rights", it's about how GOG (or anyone else) wants to police the discussion threads they are hosting at NO charge to you. It's insane this has to keep being explained to the same type of people over and over and over. There is no freedom of speech in regards to private companies who choose to allow you to participate and use their websites.

Unless you're a big site like facebook/twitter/etc and your site is basically the digital equivalent of the public commons. Then you should have to let people speak their minds(barring exceptions like illegal threats).
