[This is a sticky post, it will be visible in every single page of this thread. It has been published in October 2020.]

Our moderation team decided not to take a side in the discussion since this giveaway thread was created by the community and, as long as there are no forum rules violated, is up to you, dear Gogers, to decide its fate. We will not set giveaway rules, edit the OP's post, nor lock the whole thread.

However, to make it easier for newcomers to understand the situation (about the OP being inactive and other), I will stick my own post right above the first one.

You are, of course, free to create new threads to start anew and make your own, clear rules. At the same time, please stay reasonable when crating them, as multiple new duplicates might make it even more confusing for many Gogers.

That is not true. I got several key on DLH.net. Unfortunately they did not give away new steam keys but you can still often get some old ones. Also the main purpose of DLH.net never was to give away keys - so it's hardly a scam. They earn nothing from those keys but you watching a little commercial.

got 2 or 3 keys on the last month myself
a small note here, the first time I ever tried to, came to the same conclussion "where are the keys?" (it's like free cake XD), I couldn't find my away around their site but then I noticed something, and long story short, make sure you're logged in to the site, and only then go to this url

it then should show you current giveaways and I think the only requirement ever was to like something on facebook (keep in mind that it's a very slow page and everything takes ages =P

as for HumbleBundle...GREAT

vjadid: I would like to report something that I think supports my assumption that Steam keys don't expire.

Whenever Humble has a giveaway I reveal the key, screenshot it and then save the image to activate it later.

Now these are some games I got , along with their redemption deadline according to Humble:
1) X-COM: UFO Defense - deadline is February 15th, 2017
2) Rising Storm Game of the Year Edition - deadline is June 10th, 2017
3) Killing Floor - deadline is July 8th, 2017

Now I list the actual dates I activated them successfully on Steam, according to "View licenses and product key activations" option on my Steam account details page:
1) X-COM: UFO Defense - February 20th, 2017
2) Rising Storm Game of the Year Edition - August 4th, 2017
3) Killing Floor - August 4th, 2017

Thus I conclude that Steam keys don't expire, but Humble hides them after the deadline.

So in order to make the keys "permanent" all you have to do is reveal them once and save the sequence somewhere else?
Not need to actually redeem it on Steam makes these giveaways way more useful...
In fact more useful than the previous variant, where you could get a gift sent to your email without obligation for a steam account, but you did must have an account to redeem it prior to the expiration date.

I'm guessing that much better than a screenshot (which seems to be what everyone is doing) copy it as text somewhere, I do that with my keys, I keep a spreadsheet for that on gdrive

You can get STAR WARS™ Battlefront™ Season Pass free on origin (on the house) it gets you all the expansion for it, but you still need to have the main game for it.(currently its 83% off and is 4.99 €). Well still good for those who have the game to get all the expansions for free :)

I would think this is more of a "hot deal" than a "free giveaway" since a purchase must be made in order to take advantage of this offer. Thanks.

In Origin you can still add it to your account anyway, it just doesn't show up in your library until you have the base game. No purchase required.

Of course EA being EA they have removed the basic version of the game for sale, you can only get the Ultimate Edition now - which includes the Season Pass anyway.

edit: even though the store page says DRM-Free, there is no download for it. Only a steam key is available for this giveaway.
edit2: Looks like Humble changed their mind. My download page now says I have a DRM-Free download. Downloading it now before they change their mind again.

Looks more like a login/password stealer website since you can't view it without logging in to steam first.
