Our moderation team decided not to take a side in the discussion since this giveaway thread was created by the community and, as long as there are no forum rules violated, is up to you, dear Gogers, to decide its fate. We will not set giveaway rules, edit the OP's post, nor lock the whole thread.

However, to make it easier for newcomers to understand the situation (about the OP being inactive and other), I will stick my own post right above the first one.

You are, of course, free to create new threads to start anew and make your own, clear rules. At the same time, please stay reasonable when crating them, as multiple new duplicates might make it even more confusing for many Gogers.

The new Uplay freebie in September will be The Crew.

"Continue the #Ubi30 celebrations with The Crew, available for free from September 14 on PC ! " (source : @Ubisoftclub).

Not as good as the previous ones, also you will need to launch the client to play it : /

Free Polarity Steam key for owners of one of these games: Greyfox RPG, The Chosen RPG or Gravilon.

If you have any of the indicated games, launch it and enter a valid email when asked. Be Patient, says that you get the key whiting 42 hours.

Doh! Booted up my PC, found I owned Greyfox, installed it, but now see that the freebie is actually called Polarity, a game I own. Oh well, got me moving anyway.....

Ok, I need help. Been on the fence about getting Tropico 4 recently, so I was thrilled to see HB is offering it for free...except that it's a Steam key.

Ok, so I decided to give in. I went to create a Steam account...except that my user name (ChaunceyK) is already taken.

Ok, maybe I created an account years ago & forget about it...except that my usual passwords aren't working.

Ok, maybe I can recover my account (if it is indeed mine)...except that the email address it offers to send a password-reset link to (c******@l******.***) doesn't look familiar to me.

Ok, maybe it's an old addy I used to have & forgot I even used it....except I don't want to be accused of trying to hack someone else's account if there's another honest to goodness ChaunceyK out there.

So can someone on Steam check out their ChaunceyK to see if it's an active member in any way? Maybe they'll write back, or maybe you can search their forums for activity, or maybe you can look at their profile to see if it says anything about them? I have no idea how similar or dissimilar Steam is to GOG!

there are three types of "user names" on steam
1.) you use it to login only, unique nobody can see it, you cant change it
2.) steamid, you can set up this for your steam profile page so everybody will find you easier, it is unique too, but everybody can see it, for example: http://steamcommunity.com/id/gog
3,) your username, everybody can see this in games and on your profile page, it is not unique and you can change it anytime

so the person who uses ChaunceyK username (3) maybe not the same person who uses ChaunceyK account login name (1)
