Say what you will about Epic but they do have some sweet freebies if you can stomach the Chinese government spying on you and don't mind a store with no Shopping cart.

Another awesome couple of free games. Something I never see mentioned about Epic are their download speeds (probably because they are excellent and no one wants to say good things). I get 60MB/s (yes MB, not Mb) download speeds average. Actually it's so locked to that figure that I'd say they have a 60MB/s cap. Steam, for comparison usually gives me only around 100-120Mb/s. Epic rules.

Even if Sweeney is lying and forwards all info to his minority partner I'm not sure why I should care about China knowing what video games I play.

not everyone has money to buy games. been there myself when I was a kid. but I learned how to pirate games, so it wasn't so bad. and this could be a "better" alternative.

Dammit, I missed Shadow Tactics Blades of Shogun. I've been interested in it and, while I still rather get it on Gog (and eventually will), wouldn't mind adding it to my Epic freebie retrieval account.

I still need to get to setting up a clean virtual machine where I can install their launcher, download the games and scrap the VM afterwards, but that's another issue entirely.

I love that you think GOG cares about it's users. If the no-drm thing is the most important issue to you then by all means... GOG away but don't pretend they give a shit.

I see posts about GOG news on Steam forums all the time. Should they not allow that there?
