Thanks Kyojinmaru I did not have that game. I will begin downloading it now.
+1 to the generous soul! And +1 to you too!
Ungrateful anonymous piece of shit has taken that, but this code is still available:

I was unable to find such a user (I tried a couple variations on the name, too); are you sure he exists? =)

I wish I knew who he/she is exactly, so I could insult his/her/IT family.

Oooh, enjoy mate. That is the game that has made me come closest to physically vomiting from laughter :-D

And regardless of how that sounded, I did mean it in a positive way. It's an awesome game, and funny as hell.

You're talking about Giants? I wasn't aware it was a particularly comedic game.

Maybe one of these months I'll have to actually install it and try it out.
...But probably not. :D

Really? You can't have heard much about it then. That's usually the first thing people mention when talking about it ;-)

But seriously, you really should get it. With the constant Interplay discounts, it should be easy to pick up for next to nothing.

Edit:
Okay, right now it costs next to nothing! A 90% discount, you can't really ask for more than that. Should you happen to also not own Sacrifice, you really should get that one also.

I actually watched TotalBiscuit's "This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things" episode about G:CK (one of the videos he made for his erstwhile promotional partnership with GOG, I believe), and he went on about a lot of the strong points of the game, but I don't remember him really focusing on its humor.
Anyway, I already got Giants due to the giveaway at the end of last year's winter sale. It's just not super high on my list of "owned games that I want to try".

As for Sacrifice and the rest, I'm not really interested in most any of those, either. (EDIT: Also, fuck Interplay. Given the way they stiffed the Parallax guys on their Descent royalties, I imagine they've probably done similar to a lot of other creators that they have agreements with.) I find I'm not terribly excited about playing older games in general these days -- even ones I would've killed to have played, but never got to, 15 or 20 years ago.
For instance, I bought Morrowind last December, and I've probably only played it for 10 hours or less. This was a game that I'd been looking forward to playing "some day" since it came out, but due to a variety of reasons, I never did play it until it was released Steam-free here. And, now that it's sitting on my desktop, I simply can't be bothered. : \

I still remember when I was a kid I used to have all the time in the world to play my PS2 games and PC games. Whenever I bought a game i would beat it really fast and soon go play the next game until i finished the story. All the games I bought back then would always get completed by me and i would never regret buying them on release since I would always have time. Now that I´m older almost finishing college I amass a big collection of games in my steam, gog and Xbox One libray that I almost never have time to play or to beat. Last game that i bought on release day which i regretted was The Witcher 3 for my Xbox one(which costed me 70USD back then). Not that it was a bad game but I got angry that i bought it and played until half of the game then i had to stop due to College assignments, Work, extra-curricular activies and other stuff going on in my life. It would have been much smarter if i had waited until now and bought it in the present, since my college break is getting closer thus I would have paid much less for it and i would have played much more.

Now a days I rarely buy a game on launch day. I´d rather wait until its really cheap or goes on a really great deal like 50% off, since I know my daily schedule, college, work and social life will leave a very small amount of time for me to enjoy game.

Games now a days lose their value really fast just like the stockmarket, clothes and cars. If you can be like me and be patient by waiting one year or two to get them you will be saving a lots of money and will feel way less guilty about thinking you made a bad deal by spending a lot of money on a newly released game that you almost dont have time to play it.

Hint: Best way to not get anxious to play the newest released games in the market is to spend your free time buying and playing the older ones until the newest ones get old and cheap.

Oh, I think he did point it out ;-)

Well, I can't tell you what to play and what not to play.

As for Interplay being bastards, that may well be so. But refusing to play great games by great developers because their publishers are bastards is not the way to go I think. Shiny, Bullfrog, Westwood... Tons of great games there.

But again, what you play is your decision :-)
