There has been an update… Did you download it?

This is exactly the kind of news one wants to wake up to, isn't it? Thea: The Awakening, the turn-based strategy/RPG inspired by Slavic mythology, just became bigger, more accessible, and even more stable, thanks to the free DLC Return of the Giants that was released today.

Here's what's added:
- Localization to German, French, Polish and Russian
- 70 new events
- Events Editor that lets you create your own stories and share them with others
- Full English voiceover
- Additional buildings, items, and item quality modifiers
- New music tracks and artwork
- Tons of improvements and fixes

Take a look at it in all its audiovisual glory:

pi4t: Er...has the DLC just been included in the main download, or is it liste separately and I haven't noticed it?
I'm not quite sure how this looks like on your side, but it should be the main file that gets updated.

Yep, it just looks like an update. No separate download.

The installer is over twice the old size... did you not see it?
Awesome, I was hoping we'd get this DLC on the launch day since I discovered it on last weekend. Thanks. Update times on GOG seem to be a lot better than they used to (if the developer is willing to cooperate).

Guys handling the backend on GOG side are very responsive, and despite the late delivery of the release build on our side (last minute bugs as usual...) they managed to get it out to you on time. Good job GOG :)

No idea what this game is about, seeing a dev take time to post, here for any reason is enough to get me more interested.

What he posted for, correcting incorrect info (apparently) adds to my interest.

If I'm in two minds about a game, this sort of thing, tips the balance towards a sale.

I contrast that to Blizzards, treatment of Nostralius and their fans.
I hate WOW (MMO is SPG campaign, Persistent Universe is true MPG), but I got Starcraft Series, so had battle net. those are no longer owned by me. (The deletion hoop jumping is ridiculous)
That behavior tipped me the opposite way. Sod all there products, I'm not buying anything they make.

Now I'll find out more about this, whether I get it or not, I'll watch the devs in the future
Very cool!

Amazing, good job!
Since you are here: any news on Linux version? I know you have tried to develop it, and even launched a "beta" free version for users to work and modify. Are there chances of that becoming a full release? Thanks!

I was hoping for a sale on this for the weekend. I have a little money burning a hole in my pocket! Great news about the DLC, too.

I am usually cautious about anything that claims to be roguelike or survival. What tipped the balance for me was the availability of almost full version of the game (two months old at the time) as a a free demo - as long as you can run it in linux. I had few days before release to try it - and it was automatic day 1 purchase after that.
Sweet! That's the way the devs do it right. Glad I backed this on KS, even though it didn't make. They are showing they are worthy gamesmiths.

Linux version is available on Steam. Though we do not officially support it, seems that players are using it without issues.
The beta version you refer to is an outdated build for testing (here: https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=D09AAF078EFDC73D!2983&authkey=!AGxe3W4ByFCzWfs&ithint=file%2czip)
There's also a long-ish forum discussion about it here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/378720/discussions/0/490125737485986607/
If the test build works fine for you then I'm almost certain the full version and DLC will work as well.
Worst case you can get a refund.
We did not release Mac or Linux builds on GOG as it would be difficult for us to support it and track any bugs on these OSes.

As for running a sale - discounts will come eventually as the game gets older ;) But since the DLC is a rather big, and most importantly free, we have decided not to discount it at the moment.

Since the dlc is free i think the game is full worth the price imo.

JudasIscariot: Paging PaterAlf :D
The game has been added to my GOGmix.

Have to say that it is a very impressive update. Thank you for that, MUHa Games!
Awesome - saw this just now and in addition to making an amazing, unique fun game this developer just seems to "get it" when it comes to stuff like this.

From the early Linux build to a massive update you guys really do love your fans and stand by your game! Much appreciated!
Ah ha, so that why this has a update.
Good stuff, the games worth the money, thank you very much for the free update.
Glad i brought it, even more so now. :)
