agentcarr16: Any complaints?!?
Yes. Many.
If we go in, we will be moving. So you do wish to kill us. You also wish to take everything, including potentially lethal strains of bio-weapons, then you wish to remove nails that could possibly be what is keeping the sealed doors sealed. All in all, a recipe for disaster.

I'd say best plan is to get in, get what we need, then get out without anyone knowing we've been there.

agentcarr16: ...go in, kill everything that moves, take everything that isn't nailed down, ...

..., I've got a truck, ...
If you kill all that moves, you also might hurt your teammates. And the captain. I suppose, that is not you goal, is it? But the truck sounds awesome!

Hey, does it by any chance transform into Optimus Prime or something?

Brasas: Well, here we go. Another mission where we've been infiltrated with loyalist spies.
How many missions have you been on?
avatar
Ixamyakxim: Player order huh? Did I miss that in the sign up thread - what's that entail? Do I have to wait before I start throwing around baseless accusations?
As Bler said, this is the order of deciding who is the captain for choosing mission teams. This order will NOT change during the game. Feel free to throw around baseless accusations.

Also, in case it isn't crystal clear: any mission except mission 4 requires only a single Fail result to fail the mission (extra Fail results don't provide extra benefits). Due to the number of players, mission 4 requires TWO failures to fail; if only a single fail result appears, the mission succeeds.

If you have any questions or doubts about the setup, now is the time to ask. I think the only thing that isn't public is which alignment any specific player is.

agentcarr16: ... I should be on this mission. Any complaints?!?
yes

I must say that I can't help but think that anyone trying to volunteer for the selected team is more likely a spy.

I say we just let the captain pick who the captain wants to pick each time, and then vote from there. Trying to influence the captain's decision seems nefarious and counter-productive.

Of course, you're an experienced Resistance player, and I'm a noob, sooo, what do I know?
Since I can't be lynched, no need to be coy.

I'll gladly go on the first mission as well. Having three people seems like a perfect time to either get a good read on Loyalists or insert a Spy. I personally want a head start figuring that out.

and what about being assigned to go on the mission gives you more of an advantage to figure it out than if you don't?

There's only three people on mission one. If spies are stupid enough to sabotage it and I'm on it, I know two people I'll never include on my list when I'm captain.

Dessimu: How many missions have you been on?
I probably forgot more missions than you've been on kiddo ;)

But seriously, I play Resistance Avalon somewhat frequently, maybe nearing 50 times in total? We need to be careful approving teams. It's easy for a spy to go on the first (33% chance), and then vote to pass it and gain cred that will make him or her hard to ferret out. We need the votes on the teams. Trust me that the votes on the missions themselves are not enough - they are secret afterall. The votes on the teams are public. And even with both votes the spies have a decent chance of winning.

Yes. But how often are you captain? And how do you convince the rest of us you're not the spy? :)

Per Rule 5, please DO NOT edit your posts. This "No Edit" rule is critical.

The content looks about the same, though I think the percentage chance might have been added since I first read it. I'm not sure.

Edit (allowable because I'm a mod): I'm referring this one to Leonard for judgement.

So, where is the captain?
Here I am. Help! I am captain and have to decide who goes on this mission.
But since it is Day 1 and we have hardly any information. Talking back and forth without having anything to talk about (like votes etc.) will get us nowhere. So we might as well get this over with.

I trust myself. Therefore I am going.
I don't trust bler, too overeager with his 'first' ;-) and agentcarr feels the need to emphasize that he is loyal resistance - which makes me wonder why. Not going to send him either.

HijacK's tenet 'trust no one but yourself' is quite useful in this stage of the game, so he is in.

JMich is nit-picking words and semantics again. But he has a point. In and out without being noticed is exactly the right aim for an investigative mission. So let's do this:

Mission 1, Team Proposal 1

Team Captain: Lifthrasil
Members: Lifthrasil, HijacK, JMich

Do you agree? Or not?

Rookie mistake :(
The edit was from the second reply - didn't really check the elapsed time.

Waiting feedback on the edit. Meanwhile, sent my vote.

The more salient point is that I'm a sub/interloper and not actually playing. ;)
