Are you sure about this particular one? It's the first (at least, that I've seen) on the forum, and it's definitely not Mafia. I mean, I've never played the game before, yet I feel I understand how it's supposed to work.
Maybe you could link him to a video or two of it being played in real life?

I find the setup intriguing, and more appealing than traditional mafia in many ways, but for now I'm content to abide on the sub list, might even go full-observer given all the fine folks hanging there.

....hrrrrmph.....
I don't know....I get the feeling it'll get pushed to the limit every time, with the team being voted "no" over and over again and with the captain continually circling around because nobody can make a decision....
I'm considering slipping into the sub list, but maybe it wouldn't be too bad if I can go wild-card a bit and start kicking people into voting.

I was going to ask about pace as well, so I'm glad zeo asked. If it were a bit faster I'd be in, but as it looks like it's going to be about 1 week per mission, possibly longer if there are multiple rejections...I think I'll stay on the sub list, and might even go observer to chat with the crowd.

The marathon-style games are just harder for me. If I'm lying, I can't maintain it. Even if I'm town, I just get obsessive. The three games where I've I've gone up to the bitter end I'm just a wreck down the stretch.

I could dedicate a week to it, but a month...would be challenging. Plus it's not even like a game of Mafia where I can just intentionally get myself knocked out if need be ;)
