Well, guess I have a lot to catch up on. I had read the day start and end posts and read a bit of last night's lynch.

The big question I have is why HijacK was chosen to go to Spectre heaven? That part makes little sense to me. And for the record, I'm not saying whether or not that was the work of my "predecessor". Just saying that I don't get the value in it.

I'm assuming my predecessor also doesn't understand the value of L-1 pressure either...

yogs, (and the rest) what do you make of it now? as dangerous to town as a4plz was, I don't think she was scum (though not absolute, of course), just out of her depths, which is why I hadn't voted her immediately upon the break of Day, figuring it wasn't a scum ploy and just a crap situation

I think it was a huge mistake for the exorcist to do, I tried bringing it up to be talked about before the day ended, buuut, all I got was "are you kidding?" or somesuch. If HijacK is Good, Evil really had the exorcist convinced that he was Evil instead, and the exorcist didn't have the mind to still allow him in to check and see how things went with him/what he said, who he might vote, etc., to help us with reads/evaluating what is going on.

We don't even know if spectres from lynch differ from spectres from a NK! We should just kill a random person to find out! YAA!

Your predecessor didn't understand anything, I'd not waste any effort trying to figure out why she did anything (much less try to explain it to us) and just take it completely blank-slate and just tell us your reads and anything else of note. When you get to it!

I would have done the same thing if I was the exorcist, Bookwyrm was killed night one before the exorcist was revealed as a power role. Bookwyrm is almost certainly town and still has a vote, Hijack is an unknown (I am still firm in that he was scum), makes no sense to keep Hijack as a spectre and remove bookwyrm for town.

any others you have leaning possibly scum?

can you take a hypothetical leap-of-faith assumption, and go with the thought that I'm Good, and then give me an evaluation of who you have leaning possibly scum? just to try it on for size (because I'm Good and if you're Good too, we need to figure it out!)

Thank you. I missed the voting part. Didn't realize spectres get a vote. That does change things. And even if he was the herbalist, that role doesn't really impart any special useful knowledge. We'd just be hearing the views of another uninformed town. And if he was evil, it helped our voting numbers.

So divert the attention to someone else is what you are saying, I'm good where I'm at right now. The other two people I have leaning as scum I'll not say as I want to see how they play today.

What I am saying is that I'd like you to partcipate in the game and discussion in scum-hunting with your fellow Goods (if you're Good.) Oh, that's right, you've had it figured since 4 days into the start of the entire game, and you're going to beat Evil entirely on your own by sheer will (talk about ego!) Folks, go read an isolation of trent's posts. He's done absolutely nothing in this game except antagonize and stay tunnel-visioned. I'd say his participation has been utterly USELESS. He's still my #1 scum-choice, and I'd like to know why he isn't yours!

Welcome, RWarehall. I was catching up with the thread when the hammer happened and made note of a couple of things. Lotofchickenwings put Hijack at L-1 two hours before a4plz . My [url=https://www.gog.com/forum/general/forum_mafia_game_40_wilderberry_hollow/post716]check-in post was 20-25 minutes before the hammer. ap4lz hammering and my post that followed were made at virtually the same time. I was waiting for the 10 minutes to expire when drealmer made the next post.

Hijack was getting pressure and seemed to be laying low. However, as far as the final two votes on him and an opportunity to claim, he really was not given any time (2 hours). That's why I told drealmer that I was frustrated as well, Hijack was not given time to claim and a4plz indicated she voted without really reading the last few pages.

I'm not sure why Hijack thought he was at L-1 after the lynch occurred.

I am soul reading all of you, just so you know. I am not sure why I am doing this, since I am a co-moderator ... I am also practicing my iterative deletion for when it actually does count. I am pro at Mafia like that.

Hey RWarehall, nice to see you join us. Sorry a4plz had to drop out, but as agent says forum mafia is not for everyone and I can certainly understand the not having time thing as that's my main reason for not playing more.

I have been thinking this over. Town needs this information heading forward. I believe the positives of sharing this outweigh potential negatives.

I was the Undertaker (Coroner). I choose to investigate HijacK last night. To my surprise, I actually received the results from that investigation. HijacK was in fact the Herbalist. We're now sitting behind the eight ball. Anyone who is town, can we please put petty bickering aside? If you think someone is scum, state your reason and vote for them. We need to work together and have a bit of luck at this point to have a chance to win.

I'm not sure I would have revealed w/o the information on HijacK.

It's been a long day and I'm headed to bed. I have plenty of time this weekend to answer questions and share additional thoughts.

I tend to believe you as I've mostly had you leaning town, and I still don't quite see scum killing their own N2, but there is certainly the possibility of you being scum and this being a ploy (though the fact you voted HijacK too really makes that unlikely)

Either way, it does look like things may have played out slightly differently than expected.

Huh....thanks for the info, cristi...so many things this could mean.

Could drealmer7's anger against HijacK being hijacked mean that he is not scum?
Could it be part of an act to appear non-scummy?
Could it be that cristi was strategically sacrificed scum to help create confusion?

Cristi, could you perhaps hint at the results of your investigations the first night, in a way that won't put anyone in jeopardy?
