drealmer7: Oh sure, now you all decide to actually play and participate now that the deadline is imminent. It would have been nice to see this amount of participation before just before the deadline.

I'm at post #305 and need to catch up, not sure if it will get done before the deadline.

A quick note for the reading impaired:

I haven't been pushing no lynch, I've been pushing the discussion on no-lynch. Learn the subtle differences, it'd be great. I'm really sick of being called anti-town for trying to generate discussion about things, which is PRO-TOWN TO DO. I've even detailed reasoning and it should be easy enough to follow, if you can't follow or refuse to even consider my perspective, THAT is anti-town.

okay now to read
Nice to know that if we don't agree with your reasoning it's anti town, what were we thinking trying to disagree with the man whom usually gets it wrong.
avatar
drealmer7: I haven't been pushing no lynch, I've been pushing the discussion on no-lynch.
avatar
Dessimu: See, you "pushing for No-Lynch" actually comes from you voting No-Lynch. Voting is serious. Get that?
This comes from the person who has done more vote flopping in this game than anyone else by like 300x...
my vote is no more powerful than anyone else's, and I actually have reasons and a stance on my vote, clearly explained and quite reasonable, so, go pick on others whose votes are in useless places or who haven't given any good reasoning for where it is or done any persuasion about it.

...still catching up...
avatar
drealmer7: This comes from the person who has done more vote flopping in this game than anyone else by like 300x...
What a fun that was! If you are interested, my personal RVS play ended in post #80 by unvoting you and normal scum searching/valid lynch target proposals started by voting lotsofchickenwings.
avatar
Dessimu: Depending on what coroner would learn, he/she may just as well stay quiet during D2 if information gathered is of little use. Thus, no exposure. But that is just a "what if?" talk, not too much helpful.
That's what I said, and what if talk is ALL THAT IS HELPFUL because that is ALL THAT WE HAVE.

avatar
lotsofchickenwings: If you are so scared of killing a PR or vanilla - I understand that. But when does the fear end ? According to this logic D2 we don't lynch anyone either.

Drealmer7 - you say it's critical if we kill a vanilla or PR. Of course it is - but that's why we play the game ! That's why we take the shot at actually hitting scum!
This is a mis-representation of my position. I'm not scared and fear is not driving my decision. It's called being cautious, considering the possibilities, analyzing all of the angles and basing my decision on a variety of reasons (one of the biggest having been that there had been no one I felt was deserving of the vote otherwise.)

avatar
HypersomniacLive: How nice. This is something that a4plz was advised as being a bad thing to do, and was chalked up to noobie error. But coming from you? Are you Good that desperately wants to stay alive, just to see more than D1 regardless of anything else, or Evil laying the ground for surviving the Night if you don't get lynched Today?
I'm a fellow human being playing this game where we're all trying to have fun and I'm telling you all that it has not been fun for me to be the D1 lynch so often and to please take that into consideration. Whether such behavior is GENERALLY scummy or not is irrelevant in this specific instance because, it's how I feel currently and I was sharing such.

avatar
drealmer7: [...] we need to avoid EoD lynch-rush [...]
avatar
HypersomniacLive: We know you're following yogsloth's game, but is this really necessary?
What is "this" ? and who is "we"? you and your scum-buddies? or are you speaking for every single person who is playing this game, and you *know* for fact that every one here knows I'm following yogs' tourney game? scum-slip I think...
avatar
drealmer7: vote count / votecount / vote-count

[...]
avatar
HypersomniacLive: I kindly ask you to not spam the thread with your method of vote-counting, it's distracting.
how is it distracting? if it bothers you, don't look at it. If I get an overwhelming "we don't like that" response from the group, I'll refrain, but you seem to be the only one with an issue. Again, this simply pings me a bit as scummy. Oh look, someone else actually likes it. I recommend when you see my votecounts, you just skip the post, don't worry, I won't include anything other than vote-counts in those posts.

avatar
HypersomniacLive: You really need to make up your mind.
Because you don't like me talking about different potentialities/possibilities/how things might be? You want me to say for certain I know how it will be? When there's no way I could? Why? Because you're scum and talking about things is no good for scum?

avatar
trentonlf: It's simple, drealmer has been pushing for no lynch since the day started. A no lynch today is bad for town and anyone who has towns best interest at and would not be voting for a no lynch or pushing for it. The Friends comment was not a serious one, although I will disagree about his take on Friends as I think it's one of the best tv shows made.
This is so full of fallacy, I don't know where to begin. This exchange between you and trent reeks of scum-buddies talking to each other.

avatar
Bookwyrm627: ...
thanks, and I agree with practically everything you say here, which is why my vote isn't on dess or HSL even though they are near the top of my suspect list.

How do you feel about trent?

OH SHiT, 7 mins til deadline

Here, have this:

Unvote no-lynch
vote trentonlf
avatar
flubbucket: Bookwyrm627 gives me a me to vibe with his posts. His content has an echo of what others have said. I understand since it's Day One and the pickings are slim.
avatar
Bookwyrm627: One thing I've been doing so far is holding back some of my thoughts, to give other players a chance to voice some things first (the coroner's target every night is already known), or to wait and see what information becomes available at the dawn of D2 (since I'd hate to spill secrets).
I understand. I am hesitant to give my "he's so town" reads in order to make the Night Kill target as difficult as possible.
Whatever the deadline I sense D1 will end with No-Lynch.
avatar
drealmer7: ...........<snip>............

I haven't been pushing no lynch, I've been pushing the discussion on no-lynch. Learn the subtle differences, it'd be great.

...........<snip>............
You are Voting No Lynch so I guess that means you are not pushing No Lynch.

Makes perfect sense.

*************

Now I see you've changed your vote to trentonlf.

I guess no one should dare accuse you of pushing for trentonlf's lynch.
What combos do we have so far? I mean, scum team is a team. They have to have something in common. Without much given thought I would say:

- a4plz and drealmer7 - for having expressed similar ideas about No-Lynch and a4plz liked something about drealmer7
- three happy new players - key word is *new*
- trentonlf and HypersomniacLive - drealmer7 proposed it, I personally could only insert "Hot Fuzz vibe" as possible warning given
- lurkers?

Any others?

Dess, I don't find your "let's focus on these players only" suggestion to be a good one. It seems like scum trying to narrow the field on the lynch. Perhaps if we had 2 or 3 people at L-3 or L-2, but not with 1 person at L-4 and the next person at L-5 (if my votecount is accurate, please inform if not)

I wouldn't be surprised if the 3 votes on me were all scum, or 2/3, but certainly 1 of them has to be scum. If we are to narrow the scope I think it should be between me, trent, and flub. I know I'm town, so that leaves trent and flub. They've not commented on each other hardly at all other than prompts about why I am scummy (open to correction if I'm wrong, this is going from memory) for wanting no-lynch discussion.
avatar
drealmer7:
Your vote count has at least one mistake: a4plz has 3 votes; cristigale is also voting him. But please, do not post an updated vote count for now. I believe agentcarr16 will show up soon and post his vote count.

What concerns focus on new players - hey, in MY first game, I turned out to be a rather capable scum. Now we have three new players. Chance that at least one of 'em is scum is rather good.

Focusing only on them is bad for sure. Whether you are townie or scum, you can see why people vote/may want to vote you either way.

I have a few more players in mind that give me suspicions, but there is so little to go on, that mentioning them will not prove useful.

did you fail to read my previous comment in RE: to HSL? if you don't like it, don't look at it, simple as that. I don't see how it is a distraction, it's fucking votecount. tell me why you find it distracting, someone has told me they like it, sooo, *shrug* I suggest you go watch that eagles vid I linked.

I'd be a fool to take your claim at face value, especially after you unnecessarily soft-claimed Vanilla when it was already discussed.

I have no problem with you discussing whatever you want. But you're contradicting yourself. In the first post of yours I quoted, you presented the odds as pretty low, but as soon as someone made a case against your take, it suddenly became a big fat threat of increased chance.

You're obviously not a Hot Fuzz fan.

OK, with about 3hrs to go.

The new players are off the table because D1 and all that, but they're all on watch.

I'm willing to vote for
- Hijack: don't like his evasive and deflecting way in his latests posts.
- JMich: don't like that he wants to expose the Coroner and any results they get on Power-Roles.
- flubbucket: getting a scum vibe form his niceness, helpfulness, the way he made his case against drealmer7, and what appears a bit of buddying up to me. If he's Town, this will be the very first game he's playing this way without being Scum.
- cristigale: for all her good posting, she gives off a bit of a scum vibe, might just be me always suspecting her, but she does play a damn good scum game; has done a bit of piggy-backing; tried a bit too hard to justify her vote on a new player who, imho, is equally low hanging fruit, but only trentonlf is guilty of it; stated that there's bad in my posts but did not provide anything asides of aggressiveness.

The rest get a chance to see D2. That doesn't mean they're in the clear though.

Thoughts?

Let's hope the rest of the players show up before the deadline expires.
