Should have lasted one more night? I mean, however tiny a chance, it could have been that spectres could have done something at night that could've exposed scum?

But yeah, that was a harsh game.

The game was over. The following Day, it would have necessarily been 3 live Scum vs, 2 live Town and a Town Spectre. Mafia wasn't going to lynch themselves, so the best Town could do is just delay the inevitable.

This is apart from the fact that Spectres, by design, had less and less of a vote as Days progressed.

Oh, agentcarr16 says he'll do a datadump later. I assume that means the list of roles with the flavor and mechanics (particularly for Spectres). I'll let agentcarr16 do that.

The most important mechanic of the Spectres is that they had a health bar, or 'Soul'. Every Night following them becoming a Spectre they would automatically lose 25% of their Soul, even if they did nothing. Using their powers could speed this rate (hence the multiple Spectre deaths towards the end). The power of their votes was directly related to the value of their remaining Soul.

that's what i thought. but if there were 3 mafia left they had the majority and just would have not voted during the day and killed me eventually. perhaps AgentCar wanted to spare us the drawn out nonsense of no longer having any chance whatsoever.

Oh - so it was flubbucket as the third. I just didn't understand why AgentCar didn't mention him like he did JMich and RW in his speech.

Conrats Mafia. Good game everyone, even though our town game left a lot (understatement) to be desired. I'm speaking to me as well - because I voted for Hijack, Adalia, and Bababark (and drealmer even though he didn't end up dead.)

OK, then I guess it was over because after night you will be the only living person against mafia so you would have no chance of winning at all.
You would have to kill spectres anyway so it would be only you, 1 town spectre and 3 mafia,right? So there would be no way to fight them anymore.

If a spectre had blocked the actions of a mafia kill, or voted for a mafia at night, they COULD have (tiniest chance) still won, no?

If no one would die it would be 2 towns vs 3 mafia instead of 1 town + 1 spectre against mafia, right?

Well done scum, you played a fairly decent (if somewhat lurky) game. Town's bickering and infighting was their downfall, as usual.

Hmm, looking back I can't say this was my finest hour...

Pushed to lynch HijacK (a PR) and then self hammered myself and saved JMich (scum) from possible lynch... :/

can someone please explain how this works? to me - this essentially took my eyes off flubb for the rest of the game. Myabe i misread it, but it totally seemed to clear his conscious.

That's pretty shameful, and they all ought to be embarrassed for themselves.

Full credit to RWarehall for coming into that mess and doing his best to play the game the right way, and doing a great job at it.

But honestly... I'm so sick of Scum just refusing to play - and more importantly Town refusing to Slaughter the Useless - and lurking their way through the game I doubt I'll be up for another GOG mafia game for a while either. It just makes me want to puke.

At least I had 2/3 of the team nailed down. There just wasn't room for flub on my scumboat with the inane, directionless lunacy of drealmer providing cover.
