Oh wow. Another wasted lynch. Good luck, guys! Hope you're not idiots again, and DO vote for trent now. I mean, I am not a power role or anything, but you've just increased scum chances now. Pity Wyrm wasn't scum, because that means he's just really bad at reading people.

I'm probably not coming back as a spectre either, so....wooooooooooooooooh
First of all, *know* that babark and I are not Evil buddies...

here's my read on babark through the game:

Naive early voteon my wagon to join in the fun, it is mostly harmless because it is RVS and I'm one of the people on my wagon (so makes it essentially 1 less vote on my wagon than it seems), but by an experienced player would be seem more scummy for an RVS vote that made the wagon go that high, to me it reads either noob-scum or noob-town, and so he remains completely neutral.

I have no idea if he is serious here or not. Still neutral.

Lurking and non-participation is then noted for babark as being completely unreadable, and so he must remain neutral. My instinct says it is a noob just watching and seeing how things go and not really having much to go on and just learning and taking it slow for the most part. I do realize it could be possible he is lurking scum or PR. It has since been noted that Evil had 2 hours of scum-chat before the game rolled out, which is enough time for experienced players to leave notes that give advice to potential noob-team-mates before the game gets under way. I note this as a great mechanic for this setup and with the fact that there are 3 new players in the game, I like that from an objective view. (obviously me as Good as to be aware of the advantage that gives scum more than usual at least a little and so it is now a note that just gets added to observations from this point on.)

Here he confirms for me a bit that he is a noob just learning the ropes, I do find his continuing persistence on me a bit more suspicious though, but still can't read him because I've not played with him before. tiny slight ping here noted

Here he explains himself a bit, and I am buying it. Re-affirms the noob getting a feel, not wanting to distract too much because he certainly doesn't know what to do better than anyone else at this point. He's not flip-flopping with votes, just riding along and seeing what happens. He is being playful, saying things that I don't think scum him would say, even as a noob, at this point, and he is giving reasons as to why he is okay sticking with me for now, even if they don't make sense to me (I'm seeming reasonable and helpful and organizey, to me that is what any player should be doing, town or mafia), I see this as pretty townish from him and he is now leaning town for me.

seems pretty town- at this point I think to myself "if he is scum he is playing pretty good, maybe he is a PR keeping quiet and just saying things that he knows makes sense and playing it cool, must watch babark to learn babark since I don't know him as a player anyway, so the read is going to evolve, no need to pass judgement either way yet, certainly. In reflection upon the information of the 2hr N0 scum-chat, he could have been coached to remain quiet. It could be either way, he remains leaning slight town.

Regardless, more sensible calm responses and [url=https://www.gog.com/forum/general/forum_mafia_game_40_wilderberry_hollow/post278]here

Here he is sticking with his initial reads, giving reasons, good for him, even if he's wrong about me. It doesn't make me think he's scummy. (as opposed to what many of you seem to think I always do when someone suspects me, but it's simply not true, evidenced here, among other places.)

super townie post, as I read it, *shrug* very reasonable, I see much potential in his play as he gets more experience.

he votes trent - seems reasonable to me at that point, obviously

and [url=https://www.gog.com/forum/general/forum_mafia_game_40_wilderberry_hollow/post706]here he gets nagged more by HSL, defends himself well and reasonably, GJ babark. Of course I don't like his "voting because there is already a vote there" reason, but at least he gives a reason that is easy to understand. Town points here for that and more because I know trent and I are not scum-buddies and so that makes babark look town to me, being on the fence between the two of us.

and [url=https://www.gog.com/forum/general/forum_mafia_game_40_wilderberry_hollow/post738]here and here he pushes my wagon a bit. I simply think he's misguided and a bit frustrated. Understandable, never held it against him. I just think he's misguided townie, these don't seem like an Evil trying to push me at all.

and [url=https://www.gog.com/forum/general/forum_mafia_game_40_wilderberry_hollow/post762]here he makes sense to me. I understand and believe him.

More of him and HSL, babark seems reasonable and on track still, he is reading HSL like I am. townie points.

after the HijacK revelation from cristi, things seem to be opening up to a lot more reasonability. HijacK was Good, objectively, I really think this paints me as the most townie-looking so far, and with trent gunning for him from shortly after his aloe-drop, babark sees reasons similar to mine I think and turns onto the correct track, or at least away from me, which I know is right. Paints him super-town, in my view. [url=https://www.gog.com/forum/general/forum_mafia_game_40_wilderberry_hollow/post908]more and reasonable townie-seeming posts. The fact that he is on the fence between trent and I seems genuine. I know I'm Good, this paints babark more Good too. more of it happens the next day [url=https://www.gog.com/forum/general/forum_mafia_game_40_wilderberry_hollow/post1174]here and here but before that:

here he votes adalia, not super-comfortable with it, but doing the townie thing and doing some reads that make him okay to cast the vote. GJ babark, of course I say, because I agree in thinking adalia is scum.

Here he drops something that makes me facepalm a bit. Is he the last PR? Fuck babark, if you are, bad move! I think that is what spurs people pushing you or JMich, I think they think 1 of the 2 of you is the PR, maybe? Oh well, moving forward, will see what happens.

here he shows he is not comfortable or confident in the adalia lynch, I understand that feeling, and I can respect his resolve to not let it happen again. Reads townie a bit but if he is Evil and adalia is Evil, that is a clever bus, indeed, and I think a little too smooth for a noob scum to pull, unless coached, never know, adalia could have said "if I am going down, feel free to bus me" in scum-chat, but, still, the placement seems off for that and I don't see adalia necessarily saying that, actually, I find it more likely he wouldn't have said that. Will know after the game.

I see more reason from babark, and things that make me wonder, "hmmm, is he the exorcist? probably not, but, maybe he is trying to draw the attention off the exorcist? meh, probably just town vanilla"

1304
1355
1356
1358
1360
and on until the end of him

He just seems more and more reasonable to me in the face of more and more unreasonable stuff. at this point babark is leaning very likely townie to me, of course I know I could be wrong.

anyway, we will see, I suppose

*refresh*

he says he's not the PR at least there's that... *phew*
I also just can't see how both adalia and babark are scum-buddies. I just don't get that read at all. GRah!

*headsplosion*
Was sleepytime the last 8 hours here, so I wasn't able to stick around and go with the conversation about me, but I'm not sure I'd have made any difference.
Wait...
With their two votes, the 2 spectres are gone?
Oh man, you people are so dead now :/

babark: Oh man, you people are so dead now :/
look who's talking! dead-man talking!

I think if flub and RW turn out to be scum, they deserve congrats.
This is the longest death speech I've ever had :D. This is allowed until agent officially gets me lynched, right?
By my reckoning, if adalia was scum, by tomorrow, it'll be 2 scum vs 4 town. If he wasn't, it is 3 vs 3. So...how does that work? You'd need a scum vote to lynch someone? Or have they won at that point?

Yep, until the thread is closed, you can speak.

I have to go with the thought that adalia was Evil and it is 4v2, but to answer the question, if goes 3v3, then I am not sure what happens, but I am thinking that the "majority lynch is no longer necessary" mechanic, the game will still be going and, if it is 3v3, I would then have to think that the non-majority lynch only applies to scum and is a mod-triggered mechanic.

But I still think it much more likely it is 4v2 and adalia is the 1 Evil eliminated so far. wyrm and yogsloth are wrong about me, and they never made cases as to why I am. seems very odd to me.

Not needing to repeat myself on who I think the 2 Evil then I think are most likely to be...
avatar
lotsofchickenwings: @JMich - why did you vote for adaliaboooks then unvote adaliabooks then vote adaliabooks then unvote adaliabooks then finally vote adaliabooks on day 2? I'm tired - so let me know if one of those unvotes was so that spectres could speak, but i don't think that was the timing. I think only yogs pulled off for that.
Vote for him because I found him scum.
Unvoted at cristi's request so the spectres could talk (see my unvoting post, it was a reply to cristi and directly after cristi's request).
Vote for him again once I was back, especially since yog was already off the wagon.
Unvote for him once my initial theory of him being the last scum was proven false by the mod.
Vote for him again because I still found him the scummiest.

Since it seems we do have a lynch, I'll refrain from more posts until daybreak.

Bookwyrm627: You didn't seriously counter push Dessimu's heavy push on you Day 1, which is odd for you. Adalia seemed to have some data he shouldn't have known when he commented about it. Some other things trip my scum-dar with Adalia too. You tried to defend Babark, who also seemed to have some data he shouldn't have. Would you have flipped out on a sudden, contested lynch of a scum buddy (Adalia)? Yes, you would. You apparently knew Hijack was the herbalist.
This makes no sense. I was slightly suspicious of dess early on, and said as much, and then he started to seem a bit more town as things went on, and the whole time I have argued that I think there were 2 scum on my wagon, and was open to dess being one of them the entire time, with him being more likely than all others on it except trent. Once adalia took over, I repeatedly had reason to believe he was Evil, and had a lot of back and forth with him and eventually voted him and find him very likely to have been scum, and then he was lynched. You think I was adalia's scum-buddy? whaaa? makes no sense

and then when you put that last sentence in there, "You apparently knew Hijack was the herbalist." ...wtf, I've been over this, over and over, the entire "knew" usage and everything. You are actually holding it against me that I picked up on him being a PR and that I tried to defend him from being killed?!

Fucking ridiculous, really.

whacked, really
I'm also curious to see if the non-majority lynch applies to babark, and if so, wonder if then yogsloth will still be a spectre tomorrow because his vote wasn't registered because it only took the 5 votes.

wonder wonder wonder

maybe the exorcist can be smart and eliminate yogsloth and leave babark...hah, yeah, right!

oh and for the record, if I happened to be the exorcist, I would have totally said what I said about HijacK (that he should have been left a spectre) and then exorcised him, to throw Evil off my scent. Yep...

here's to living through the Night! was there ever a town player that was more sure to live throug the night than me right now? brilliant! genius!

maybe it will be said! *laughing and probably delerious from lack of sleep and food*

*burp*
Drealmer flip flopping like a politician. Adalia was scum, except he wasn't scum. Adalia was trying to distance himself from his buddy Babrak, except he wasn't. Whee!
You guys pick the darnedest times to lynch people.

I'm off to work in 5 minutes, and I haven't made my lunch yet, so I'll just send it to Night.

As the hour grows late, JMich and trentonlf are very much in the spotlight. Small cliques form around one or the other, and hurl stale Timbits at each other.

The mayor seems to have quite suddenly become exceedingly busy. The only time he seems to be paying attention is when someone calls for a vote. More and more people are asking him questions, however, seeming to think he knows everything about everything.

At about quarter after ten, yogsloth suddenly throws up his hands. "I quit. I want to go back to being dead. It'd be more exciting than hanging around here, listening to you guys yell at each other. And I can't even slap anyone."

Lotsofchickenwings glances up in surprise, then, quite suddenly rises to his feet. "I move we switch targets. Apparently we can't agree on which of JMich or trentonlf is more scummy, so let's lynch someone else and see what goes down."

A general nod of approval goes around the room. People discuss it for a few minutes, then another vote is called for.

It is a close thing, but the ghosts both raise their hands this time around, bringing the total to just over half.

Votecount

babark: >5 (RWarehall, lotsofchickenwings, trentonlf, Bookwyrm627, flubbucket, yogsloth)
trentonlf: 3 (drealmer7, babark, JMich)
JMich: 1 (HypersomniacLive)

Yogsloth steps forward. "I'm sorry, old pal. Not really. But whatever. People can't agree, so we make compromises. This time, you've been chosen as the lucky victim! Follow me, please."

The assembled slowly make their way outside, still bickering heartily over everything under the sun.

When babark hesitates at the base of the gallows, yogsloth attempts to push him forward, forgetting that he's no longer corporeal. He stumbles, falling through the gallow steps, but quickly regains his feet and gestures angrily to flubbucket to do his part.

Flubbucket guides a still-protesting babark up the steps, places the noose over his neck, and then, without further ado, pulls the lever, dropping the trapdoor.

Babark has been Lynched.

The deed is barely noticed. Those who are still participating are shouting at each other, while the mostly silent ones are yawning and backing slowly away towards their respective homes. The evening ends in mild disorder and confusion.

It is still Night 4.

The night is hot and windy. Thunder rumbles in the distance, but no rain falls.

The sun comes early, chasing away the thin strands of mist that accumulated. There's not a cloud in the sky, so the entire village is soon baking under the light.

Once again, people don't stray from their homes except as necessary. It therefore takes quite some time for people to realize that trentonlf doesn't seem to be around.

With sinking hearts, a group of people venture out to the little cottage where he lives alone.

There's no answer to a knock, but the door is unlocked, so a few venture in, the rest waiting on the porch.

A brief moment later, they return, grim. Trentonlf is dead. They won't let anyone in to see him, though, insisting on waiting for the police.

When his corpse is finally brought out, everyone realizes why they insisted on waiting. Gruesomely, all the blood seems to have been sucked from his body, reducing him to a dry husk with a mask of agony plastered on his face.

trentonlf is dead.

Before long, people are clustered outside the courthouse. The doors are opened at 1 pm and the discussions begin.

However, it is immediately apparent that a familiar figure is missing. Bookwyrm627 doesn't return to his usual place, hovering in the centre of the room. And yogsloth doesn't appear either, even when his table is knocked upon three times. Finally, babark doesn't appear at all.

babark is gone.

yogsloth is gone.

Bookwyrm627 is gone.

One ray of hope is that, with the same rushing silence and cold wind, trentonlf appears, pain on his face, but determination is his stance

trentonlf is now a Spectre.

It is now Day 5.

You may being posting in this thread.

The deadline is Friday, June 3 at 20:00 EST.
Well, we are still alive. I sure hope we are down to one last scum to lynch. If one is to believe Adalia told scum who might be easier to lynch, and that Babark was scum in the know, makes the next logical target either JMich or Drealmer who were pushing hard for Trent.
