So, some questions:
Yog: Are you an idiot? Are you still acting?
Anyone: Did Drealmer ever counter push on Dessimu during Day 1?
HSL: What meaning were you attempting to convey in post 1185? I didn't understand what you were trying to get across.
Chicken: What meaning were you attempting to convey in post 1196? I didn't understand what you were trying to get across.
JMich: do you think we have a round-about way of finding out which player(s) are more lynchable?

HypersomniacLive: Are you asking me about my post as a whole or something in particular? You need to be more specific, I made more than one point. "They're getting an extra day-kill the whole game now. I still think that the Mafia is more intelligent than to make one of their own the obvious lynch-target that way. I could be wrong, I'm still undecided on adaliabooks, but that's also what allows me to look things from both sides."

Bookwyrm627: Okay, people. A few things seem patently obvious to me, and yet I can be accused of bias because I'm dead.
1) Why the devil would scum night kill their own, at any point in this game? That would be actively working against their win condition, and for no material gain. None. They would literally be doing town's work for town, and spending a special scum action to do it. This is the gaping, glaring hole in any argument about my possibly being scum, in Cristi ever having been scum, and in Yog being scum.
In your being scum, definitely. While I don't think it so, it is not implausible that yogsloth could be scum, however. 1) Why the devil would scum night kill their own, at any point in this game? Bookwyrm627: 2) It seems pretty pathetic that while the extra lynchability was suggested as maybe belonging to Cristi, no one suggested that maybe, just maybe, Adalia might have had something to do with it. Really, people? The man has all night to spectre it up, until the exorcist deals with him, but he didn't do anything? Do you think Hijack did nothing as well? Everyone that dies becomes a spectre. Reread the Day 2 opening post.
So you're suggesting that the Exorcist just decided to eliminate Christi after all that time, and adalia, newly minted spectre, decided to sacrifice himself so as to place some extra vote/whatever on someone else? I suppose it could be so, but either way, I don't see how it is relevant to anything we're deciding now. Bookwyrm627: 4) Babark knows too much and is scum. Adalia is the only one that could have told him. Cristi, Yog, and I didn't die until daybreak, and Hijack was town.
What do I know too much about? Were my guesses about it being a sacrificial spectre mechanic close to the mark? Either way, why on earth would adalia tell me anything at all?

Bookwyrm627: The part including this paragraph section:
"They're getting an extra day-kill the whole game now. I still think that the Mafia is more intelligent than to make one of their own the obvious lynch-target that way. I could be wrong, I'm still undecided on adaliabooks, but that's also what allows me to look things from both sides."
It's based on the thought that all our Lynches have been Town ones, hence Mafia have had practically two kills so far (the Lynch during the Day, the NK during the Night), hence the "extra day-kill the whole game". "They're getting an extra day-kill the whole game now. I still think that the Mafia is more intelligent than to make one of their own the obvious lynch-target that way. I could be wrong, I'm still undecided on adaliabooks, but that's also what allows me to look things from both sides."
I consider the Mafia players intelligent enough to have tried to root out the Exorcist without having acted in an obviously/overly scummy manner that got everyone's attention, and got them lynched in the end. I find it quite hard to believe that adaliabooks, who's not a noob, would expose himself like that, and I've seen him say and do pretty questionable things as Town.
He could be Mafia or Town, still undecided, and try to look at things from both sides.
Is it clearer now?

Four. But they don't sound exactly like what you were describing, so I dunno. All of them seem pretty worthless, to be honest, given how it works.
Do you know something concrete we don't know? What mechanism would give you that info? Even if adalia were scum, how would he communicate anything to a scumbuddy after death? You confident he could scumchat after being killed?
Bookwyrm627: 2) It seems pretty pathetic that while the extra lynchability was suggested as maybe belonging to Cristi, no one suggested that maybe, just maybe, Adalia might have had something to do with it. Err... are you sure about this? Bookwyrm627: 3) This "Oh, lets just push someone up to 5 votes and see what happens" plan is a load of crock. Seriously. I'm ashamed of all of you. What do you think happens when we hit the player(s) who are more easily lynched?
They get lynched? Do I feel bad now? Bookwyrm627: 4) Babark knows too much and is scum. Adalia is the only one that could have told him. Cristi, Yog, and I didn't die until daybreak, and Hijack was town.
How do you know we didn't die until daybreak? I have nothing about that. I certainly wasn't given "all night to specter it up" before day broke. Just BAM, you're dead, game's back on, just like every other game. Do you know something concrete we don't know? What mechanism would give you that info? Even if adalia were scum, how would he communicate anything to a scumbuddy after death? You confident he could scumchat after being killed?

So your issue with me is that I'm neither confirming nor deny that I am vanilla? Seriously?
Let's start a hypothetical discussion.
When you ask me about why I said the spectres are unkillable, I answer that I know they are. That means that I'm either scum or the exorcist. Both cases result in my swift death, either through lynching or night kill. Not something I'm inclined to do.
If on the other hand I say that I only assumed so, it means I have no special knowledge. You asked me the question after cristigale said she was the coroner, which means it's possible (or probable, depending on who you believe) that 2 of the 3 town PRs are dead. Being ambiguous about whether I did have special knowledge or not would be an attempt to draw in the night kill, but when one almost reaches a lynch, he's not the best choice for a night kill, since the wagon can usually be pushed again.
So, yes, I am ignoring your question about why I said the spectres are unkillable. What do you (HSL) think would have been the proper course of action? Lying about having special knowledge or ignoring the question? Or something else entirely (do tell)?
Now to catch up to the rest of this thread.

I think what he's saying is that the lynched one is told they're dead at Night-start, and the NK-ed one at Night-end/Day-break. In this setup, that would mean that the lynched one was told they're a Spectre, and what that entails, at Night-start while the NK-ed at Day-break. How do you know we didn't die until daybreak? I have nothing about that. I certainly wasn't given "all night to specter it up" before day broke. Just BAM, you're dead, game's back on, just like every other game.

Now, the "scum-chatting after being killed" is the interesting part. In a "normal" game, one can't, in this one...
@mods - two questions:
- Are lynched players told they've become a Spectre at Night-start?
- Does a Mafia player continue to scum-chat with their buddies if they've become a Spectre?
No, my issue is how you chose to go about the whole thing, especially in your post #885. You had options, and you chose to go that route. Again, don't try to blame me for the choices you made and make, and your actions, the current one included.

So you think yogsloth and his buddies decided that instead of trying to kill the last PR and win, they'd spend their night action bringing town one step closer to winning? babark: So you're suggesting that the Exorcist just decided to eliminate Christi after all that time, and adalia, newly minted spectre, decided to sacrifice himself so as to place some extra vote/whatever on someone else? When did I say the exorcist went for Cristi? And when did I say that Adalia sacrificed himself to place an extra vote? It is relevant in that you seem to know some spectre things that you should have no way of knowing. There is exactly one player that could have told you: Adalia. Cristi and I are town, and Yogsloth didn't spectre-ize until the start of Day 4.
babark: What do I know too much about? Were my guesses about it being a sacrificial spectre mechanic close to the mark?

Close enough, and adalia would tell his scum teammates. See above about both of you being scum. Either way, why on earth would adalia tell me anything at all?

Clearer, yes. Ultimately, people have to make decisions. I've decided to place Adalia in the scum category and go from there. Until I see further evidence, I plan to leave him there. If he's town, then post game will show very conclusive evidence, one way or another, in case you were wondering.
Adalia isn't a bad player, but he can make mistakes. I think they mounted up, and there just wasn't enough pressure away from him for him to escape lynch a second Day. I seem to recall you specifically mentioning that pressure needs to stay on him, back when I mentioned what I thought was a slip.
yogsloth: Four. But they don't sound exactly like what you were describing, so I dunno. All of them seem pretty worthless, to be honest, given how it works.
I knew you'd be fond of them. Spectres can help, but the game will absolutely be won by the living. Describe what you've got, please. Feel free to use code, and we'll try to link up.

Uh, I'll just start with this one and work my way through the rest:
1) I'll take it, but probably not
2) Nope, well, probably
3) BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH
4) Use it or lose it to do the thing, yes this thing, but I don't think cristi could have done it, did she? Because she did something else too.
