adaliabooks: Sounds fun, but just sign me up as an observer again, not quite ready to play another game yet...
Is it a time thing or a burn out thing? I maybe could use your help as a co-moderator, if only for the UTC am, if you have the time. No pressure, either way.

Right now, I am thinking of making each 'Day' end at 6pm UTC (since I think most people can be online around then), with Days always being at least 24 hours long. Of course, I'll need to figure out what to do about Christmas Eve and Christmas day, if it comes up. Let me know if anyone sees any obvious problems with this.

Burn out. Just need a break, but I don't mind co-moderating so you can count me in for that. Generally shouldn't be too busy and spend half the time on the forum anyway so I can't see it being any trouble :)
I almost feel like we should do a practice day before you even hand out roles just so everyone knows WTH is happening in the mechanics ;)

I thought I understood it pretty well, but reading through one of the sample games at least that one is running differently than what I'd expected.
Aw, come on, is nobody gonna recognize my glorious puns? Nobody? Nobody?
*taps mic*
Is this thing on?

All jokes aside, I agree with bler, we should do a practice run of sorts, or maybe just have two games in a row with the same players so we know what the heck it is we're doing.

Christmas Day (and probably Eve) will be a time that most will be off I would guess. I will not be on except for briefly on Christmas day itself, but Christmas Eve I'll be on like normal.

How is it different? I haven't looked at those games; maybe I should.

...

So who wants to run the practice game? Or the second game? ;)

Yep. The big decision is whether to just shut the game off for those days, or let players post as normal but just make that 'Day' longer.

Everybody's a critic...
*ahem*
I'd happily host a game if you tell me how to do it. I'm one of the youngest people on this forum, therefore I have a lot of free time, meaning, as most people who've seen me can tell you, I'm on here all the time. I dunno if it'd make things more convenient as far as running the game, just saying.

bler144: Didn't you mention earlier there was some hook to get people talking? I'm curious what that is.
I haven't fully decided yet. But I'll contemplate it today during our annual Christmas party, when we invite 100 of our closest friends to invade my house, eat all the good food I'm not allowed to have, and break my shit. Starts in about 15 minutes.
*accidental repost*

Just leave the game open, but extend the day to 48 hours instead of 24.

I also don't think we need a practice run, just post the rules and all should be ok :)

It is mostly a trial by fire :P. Playing a few games, to get a feel for the games in general, is usually strongly encouraged. Taking part in at least one game on GOG as a player is required. Even then, for a first game, a co-moderator is generally advisable.

Then I suppose that counts me out unless you want me to co-moderate or something.

Nah, I should be fine. I tend to be chained to my computer usually anyway. :) I mainly needed someone to take up some slack for the hours I'll be sleeping, and adaliabooks should have that covered. Thanks for the offer though. :)
Jumping in is ok, just be prepared that some people may either be overly tentative or just ask 1,000 questions ;)

One thing you might be able to answer for me: were the daykills allowed to queue up, or were they reset after each attempt? For instance, say the game starts, and both Player A and Player B both send in a daykill within a minute of each other, was the daykill by Player B discarded, or was it used in the event Player A fails?
