They're incorporated as part of the spreadsheet now in a separate tab (the links we don't have in the great link dump, anyway). It was stressfully thrilling rushing to save the links from QT extinction while hoping work wouldn't butt in (I'm still at the office), but it's done.

The hugest of thanks to Pooka, for starting this and doing so much, HypersomniacLive, who archived everything and found so much stuff that would otherwise have been lost, and to everyone else who helped find and save QT's from hither and yon (whether "missing" ones, or ones that were never mentioned!) And if I'm leaving anyone out, it isn't intentional and you too are appreciated!

This was a small snip of the conversation Micro and I had on Discord earlier. This is the page you'll see when going anywhere on the site. It's sad that it has come down to this and we all had no choice but to rush as fast as could be to do anything in our power, scouring for links, saving them to multiple sources, and even hosting will be something we must contend with.

But this is where we stand now, and honestly? We did the best we could. My expectations were quite low to be frank, just recover all links in the threads and find some of the unpublished ones we know of. But all of you went above and beyond. We found links which we knew about in the threads but nobody bothered to post them for whatever reason there was, life is already hectic as is. W found threads we didn't know were there in the first place. The end result is unimaginable, and your support and help only made it better.

I'm sure there are still threads we couldn't find and pick up on time. Given the sheer size of what we unearthed over the last couple of days, this was inevitable. Yet look at the positive side: we've got more threads available to us after the shutdown than before. And we're on track to compiling them all into one convenient location so we wouldn't have to do this scavenging mission again in the future (and hopefully someone will back it up right now so even if my Google account dies for whatever reason, you can carry on without me).

I spearheaded the effort, yes, but it would've been woefully incomplete without the help of all of you. This is what I like about GOG Mafia. Even when we call each other names and accuse the other of being scum, there's a sense of camaraderie that I think is special to this place. Even through our ups and downs, we're here, and the games will continue.

Thanks to everyone who participated in this project, by posting links or directly contributing to the file. Special thanks to HypersomniacLive who left no place unturned and helped tremendously in completing the list. Another special thanks to Microfish, who has tended to the sheet rigorously. There's a special charm to GOG Mafia when newbies like Microfish and I undertake great effort to archive and preserve games that were played before we even knew what GOG was!

As for what to do next, the list honestly looks like a building with complete foundations and all but surrounded by tons of scaffolding and lacking exterior decoration. It should be closer to something a little more beautiful and actually navigable. This will probably be done in a separate sheet file.

Since GOG Mafia's existence already predicates on GOG.com's existence itself, we could use it as a platform to host the legacy links at minimum. It'll be painful I know, but we can trust it more than say Google Drive (which hosted a couple of sheets for a game which were sadly deleted). At least we'll be trusting CD Projekt to keep it up instead of individuals, if you dig what I mean.

Otherwise might wanna see what archivists might have to say about how to sort this whole thing out as neatly as possible with future-proofing too.

The only quicktopic I saved that's not on the sheet is one with Joe that we used during two games I hosted, since he couldn't use GOG PM at work. It's a PM alternative, so I'm not sure it belongs here, but we only discussed Mafia games in it.

I've sent it to Joe anyway and if he's fine with posting it he can go ahead and do it. Also, it contains catte's first name so maybe he should check it too first, or just remove it from the HTML file.
