You are mistaken, your name has been there the whole time. TheGogfather is never wrong.

Vitek: Is there a role or modifier that is confirmed to anyone who visits them? Not only cop, but any night visitor? Not like Innocent Child, only to that person visiting.
It would be a reverse friendly neighbour. Friendly party host or something.

Where was I looking?! Thanks for pointing out my mistake.

ZFR: I'm not aware of such a role/modifier.

The closest I can think of is Friendly Neighbour, who gets confirmed to anyone whom he visits. Yours would be the passive version of it.
Thanks. (to catte too)

It nice to be the one to invent it.
I need to think about it if it could adapted in certain way to be used in game.
I am thinking of making it thing that has to be activated and has limited amount of uses to make it weak or maybe to combine it with something else.
With the game over, I'd like to pick your brains about another role idea that I had.

There is a role modifier called Loved, which requires the person to have an additional vote to the normal amount to be lynched. So if for example it takes 6 to lynch, a Loved player would need 7.
https://wiki.mafiascum.net/index.php?title=Loved

The role as I see it is difficult to implement: since a Loved Mafia can be overpowered and bring about LYLO/MYLO sooner than expected, a Loved player is practically going to be Town-read, which essentially makes him an Innocent Child, which ironically causes the Loved qualifier to be superficial, since no one is going to vote him anyway.

So here is my idea for a role:

Enlover: publicly makes another player Loved during the Day. You type "Love Joe" which makes Joe Loved, until you Love somebody else or Unlove. Cannot be used on self.
If a Loved player stops being loved while he's over the normal lynch threshold, he automatically gets lynched.

The Enlover is publicly known. During the Night, the Enlover has to pass the Enlover role to someone else. You can't pass it to someone who has already been Enlover in a previous Day (and you give backup choices, in case the primary choice dies during the Night).

As for who's going to be Enlover on D1, I thought to choose randomly, but then I had a better idea: Make a quick (72hr) D0 for the sole purpose of choosing the Enlover. Everyone votes on who is going to be Enlover on D1, you cannot vote for self (plus some tie-breaking criteria needed here, but that shouldn't be a problem). This D0 will also help move quicker out of RVS.

I thought of 3 possible variants of Loved:
a) Normal - requires 1 additional vote. I feel it's too weak. If a person can be lynched by 50% of votes, he can usually be lynched by 1 more.
b) Loved requires 75% of votes. - I like this option. Makes the Enlover powerful enough but may still overriden by a large enough majority.
c) Prince - Loved cannot be lynched. So Enlover essentially a lynch proterctor.

To make it more interesting, an Enlover can be made compulsive. You have to Love with your first post and you can't Unlove.

Thoughts?
I don't like the compulsory version. I think it is better to tempt players to use it, rather than to force them.

But I do like the 'giving the power at Night to someone else'. We had some mobile power in the Stalker-game. However, perhaps it would be good to add an option of not passing it on but letting it die instead. Or go randomly to someone. Otherwise a player may be forced in late game to give the power to someone they strongly suspect.

As for power: I wouldn't make it 100%. Actually, I would go with the 1 additional vote. It makes it only a bit more difficult to lynch, but opens some interesting strategy. But keep in mind that someone with the Enlover ability can basically turn themselves into a double voter. If they 'protect' someone with a growing wagon on which they are not, they can remove the protection at L-2 and in the same post hammer.

This will effectively lock out some players out of the possibility to getting the role at the start (possibly for their entire participation in the game) which I don't like. Personal opinion.

I don't like c) as one bad read of a single player can screw up their whole team.

I like a) as it becomes more powerful as the game goes on. Unless that role is the whole point of the game it shouldn't be too powerful.

b) seems like a decent version if the game is going to revolve around that mechanic in general.

Another option I thought of (just so it's not random), is a minigame of sort: everyone sends in secret a number between 1-20 to the host. The one with the lowest unique number wins and becomes Enlover.

I love it!
