It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Microfish_1: idk, but chrome doesn't reliably open so it is more of an emergency browser than a trusted friend. :D

I've had a similar issue once in the past (sadly, I've forogtten the deets) but it was fixed by overwriting the EXE with a new install. (Despite trying this process numerous times, chrome still doesn't work reliably, howsomever).
I have chromium and for the past several months it's been acting up///loading pages slowly for many sites. I've installed new versions, cleared DNS(chrome and the PC as well), reset IP, etc....still have some pages take 20+ seconds to load(with just text!). :|

I might check the HDD(to see if it's going bad...and the pc temps as well) soon when I get around to it.....but I hope it's something else and I don't have to replace it.

Microfish_1: yup, hot tea with honey is a friend when my throat is sore, in the meantime, i need to choke down all the vitamin c that i can stomach, and keep taking my Vit D pills regularly.
I hear taking zinc is good as well.

Also I hope you feel better soon. :)

GameRager: snip
thanks for the well wishes.
for me chrome just doesn't consistantly open all the way. it turns white and hangs with multiple processes using 13% of the processor each.
sometimes it opens all the way and if i use it it might hang a few pages later. often it is a gamble to see if it even opens the new tab page properly.
Opera, OTOH, works well, but lacks a "restore previous session" option and has horrible bookmark management

No problem.

For me, it takes around 10-20 seconds(or more) to load some pages, or even 5+ second to switch tabs sometimes(it'' hang...the browser, that is).....whereas other browsers work more quickly and have less issues.

There might be add-ons for opera for both...dunno though.
I was using FF and my laptop would slow down to a crawl. I switched to MS Edge (Chromium) and strangely...it doesn't do that anymore, or at least not as often? Isn't Chromium like a piece of unoptimized pita? Then again, that's all browsers right now, cause they need thousands of gigabytes of RAM just to display static elements. /s

I really want to use FF, but screw it and Chromium for the bloat.

I'm using Brave and I'm quite content with it. It's basically an optimized, de-Googleized version of Chrome.

That sounds interesting. I will be looking into Brave, then. Chrome feels so creepy since launch. On the other hand, a friend uses Chrome because she relies on Google online tools for work, and she enjoys the integration. Although I never missed anything while on FF. Is there something that I might have overlooked?

Depends on what you want to use and what your company uses. At work, we use some platforms for shared work. They are useful. But if you don't miss any of those features - or you use dedicated programs for whatever integration you want - then you don't need those features.
Oh Firefox! I thought it was an odd thing to say about Final Fantasy 77

Yeah, personally I'm reserving judgement until they actually release it.

The question on everyone's mind: Is it coming to GOG?

And will any of us be alive to see it?

EDIT: No.

At the average rate they've been releasing them over the last 33 years it seems unlikely. I make it 136 years before Final Fantasy LXXVII comes out.

If they stop making the grass too detailed, they can release three FF games per generation. But now they release one per generation if anyone's lucky.

Then again, whether it's coming to GOG or not depends on how far GOG will have come since then with Squeenix.
Will my GTX970 run it at 60fps?
They still have not even confirmed if it will be available for Linux at all. How long will they keep treating Tux lovers as second class customers?

Only when we get that promised DRM-free pizza. ;)
