Sure. Killing C nets B and A as bonus, killing B only nets a bonus A, and killing A doesn't get any bonus at all. A simply wasn't popular enough.
As I said, this should only be played for the lulz, and it is horrifically swingy, depending on how the worship happens.

ZFR: Town needs a Doc or Blocker I think. Assigned randomly, after Mafia team is finalized. As I said, this should only be played for the lulz, and it is horrifically swingy, depending on how the worship happens.
Possibly stop kills and scum conversion after one layer of worship, so in an A->B->C chain, killing C only kills B but not A.
The other issue is getting town to agree on a lynch when now everyone has big incentive to avoid certain players.

Bookwyrm627: So, I'm way late to the party, but what about this?
The game starts with only one scum player, scum have a factional night kill. Everyone else is a worshiper, which is a compulsive 1-shot role, where the action is performed on N1. Everyone that worships the scum player joins the scum team.
The more people that choose the scum leader, the larger the scum team. The entire scum team dies if town nails the leader. The fewer people that worship the scum leader, the more people that may be chain killed by a single NK.
It will be swingy as all heck, and should only be played for the lulz, but it could make for an amusing one-off game.
Sounds like it could be fun....well as long as I wasn't the lead scum....in that case the game would likely be very short(as I die quickly or get suspected quickly in most mafia games). The game starts with only one scum player, scum have a factional night kill. GameRager: Agreed 100%
Imo it should be up to each mod(with some rare exceptions**) what they allow in their games(and also if they want to ban players over it or not).
(**=Now this is not to say I am pushing for mass chaos and anything goes in such games, just that I think if a game mod wants to put semi-risque or course text in their game or allow other players to do so then that should be up to them)
What would be the reason to have in a game Rape, descriptive torture, extremely lewd pictures or posts, or anything along those lines? Imo it should be up to each mod(with some rare exceptions**) what they allow in their games(and also if they want to ban players over it or not).

You could easily just say A woman was taken advantage of, someone was beaten for information, and there's no reason for lewd content at all. If people are wanting games like that I would hope they would do it in a less public space because you don't know who can be reading a game in particular children.
If a mod has no issues with cursing within reason that's fine, if a mod wants to be descriptive in how someone died I have no issue with it myself (I've been known to do just that myself), but every Mod should always be cognizant of who could be reading a game on a public forum and have the decency to keep a game within reason and the same goes for players.

In my first post, instead of calling Bond Bond, I called him Bahnd(as a silly joke).
SPF/SMFR then commented on it with a silly reply about sheep, and then I replied back and jokingly alluded that my earlier spelling of bond as bahnd was to avoid copyright infringement(on the name James Bond).
(Oh and also in that post you quoted I just put the letter P in a bunch of words for no real reason except to be silly and see if someone noticed).

(I hope that makes sense...sometimes I don't say things with the best, clearest words possible)

I wasn't inferring a game should have such extreme material, just that if a game mod wants to make a semi-risque (think PG13) rated game instead of a PG or G rated one, does it well, and all players are ok with it/know it beforehand then it should be ok for them to do so. trentonlf: You could easily just say A woman was taken advantage of, someone was beaten for information, and there's no reason for lewd content at all. I agree players and mods should try to keep to some bounds, but I also think they should have as much "artistic freedom(again within reason and with exceptions similar to those you mentioned above) as possible. "artistic freedom" is a very subjective term, and let's be honest most people who participate in the games would have almost no issues with what's posted. But, if there are no clear boundaries as what is considered a no no then it is going to happen at some point that something is said or posted that causes forum mafia to be stopped all together as someone will be that offended. SPF/SMFR then commented on it with a silly reply about sheep, and then I replied back and jokingly alluded that my earlier spelling of bond as bahnd was to avoid copyright infringement(on the name James Bond).

Trust me I am all about personal freedom and choice, but in the environment we are in (a public forum) you can't just do whatever tickles your fancy because to you it's not a big deal. In a diverse community of all kinds of age ranges you have to be very aware of how something being posted or a picture being shown can appear and or effect someone else.
I am not saying we need to limit anything or change anything from how it's been, everything has been running just fine for a long time. The incident Carradice mentioned with the spanking is the only time I can think of in all the games I've played that something like that has happened. Imagine if it had escalated into something more or someone had been really offended, it could have been a very very very bad thing. My point is we should not start a trend of being on the edge or someone will go over it, and close to the edge is ok is what I get from what you are saying.
P.S. This does not include cursing within reason as that is something most of us are around all day.

Thanks. Well, your breadcrumbing must have shifted to extreme subtleness as of now. Never noticed that! Although the picture did provide a powerful hint, indeed. I guess that if someone really wants to do it, some good-natured stuff int he vein of well-known movies like Cabaret (featuring Liza Minnelli) or the wonderful All that Jazz (featuring Roy Scheider as the choreographer Bob Fosse) should be OK. Incidentally, All that Jazz got a 12 rating in Germany. (The video for All That Jazz is edited from a longer sequence that, in the film, includes comments from the producers of the show. Go and watch this movie when you are in the mood for outstanding music and dance, it is worth it).
By the way, I just [REDACTED] an example in that long post #6256, mainly because the [REDACTED] of the [REDACTED]. Guess what? It is even more horrifying now!

The guidelines from The GOGfather and GOG forum should be considered a safe ceiling for everything posted within GOG mafia games. Yes. Actually I did not like that even by an inch. Plus, indeed it looked potentially harmful for the game in several ways. If something like that happens again it would be good that we have already reflected about all this. It does not need to be sexism or violence, it can be discrimination, racism, you name it. Because, yes, GOG forum has guidelines and red lines, but all too often they have been crossed, and some forum users might be to confident that anything goes.

I know, which is why I never said or inferred there should be no boundaries. trentonlf: Trust me I am all about personal freedom and choice, but in the environment we are in (a public forum) you can't just do whatever tickles your fancy because to you it's not a big deal. I am, which is why all links I post usually have little content warnings on them already(if needed). trentonlf: The incident Carradice mentioned with the spanking is the only time I can think of in all the games I've played that something like that has happened. If I may weigh in, I honestly didn't see that as that bad....more like roleplaying in character and a bit risque at most. (Though maybe I didn't read it properly and missed some subtext or etc?)
That said, I can see reigning such things in or cutting people off before they go too far, either via PM or game post.
trentonlf: My point is we should not start a trend of being on the edge or someone will go over it, and close to the edge is ok is what I get from what you are saying.
Well yes, it shouldn't be a common thing, but I think from time to time some such things(risque) should be ok(within reason, barring some exceptions, etc)....just my two cents. ============================
Carradice: Thanks. Well, your breadcrumbing must have shifted to extreme subtleness as of now. Never noticed that! Although the picture did provide a powerful hint, indeed.
Yesss.....my breadcrumbing is evolving to the next level, and soon I shall be the master which people shall call: The crumbler :D Carradice: (The video for All That Jazz is edited from a longer sequence that, in the film, includes comments from the producers of the show. Might look into it later, if I have time(have so much to do with games and IRL it isn't funny...someone pl0x send me some spare time ). :) Carradice: By the way, I just [REDACTED] an example in that long post #6256, mainly because the [REDACTED] of the [REDACTED]. Well yeah, redacting and most censorship can be truly horrifying. o.0Post edited June 02, 2020 by GameRager
