Bookwyrm627: 1) What happens if both scum teams try to convert the same vanilla townie on the same night? It might be best to just cancel both conversion attempts and leave the townie unaffected (all the nanites and parasites kill each other). The best alternative is probably to kill the townie.
2) Assume one scum team converts a vanilla townie. If the other scum team, on a later night, attempts to convert that (former) vanilla townie, then the second conversion attempt results in the later converter dying, correct?
3) If a scum converter dies without using their conversion attempt, does the conversion attempt die with them? Each starting scum player has one conversion attempt, instead of each scum team having two conversion shots for anyone on the team to use.
1) I think the second option is more balanced and fits with the flavour. The target's brain can't cope with the double conversion attempt and shuts down. I.e. the double conversion attempt is turned into a joint NK (which hurts town a bit), but both Converters have used up their conversion attempt (which hurts scum).
The other balanced alternative would be that the two Recruiters somehow feel that a disturbance is present and refrain from using their attempt that night. I.e. no one dies and no attempts are used up. But that would mean that nothing happens at night which would be boring.
2) Yes, a converted player has conversion immunity in the next night.
3) Yes, if a Converter dies before using his power, the power (i.e. one conversion shot) dies with him. I intend that as conflicting incentives for scum, so that the decision, when to use the power, becomes more interesting. If you wait until the Masons are known, your chance of success increases. But you run the risk of getting lynched without getting the chance to use the power.
