Wanted to move back a few years ago but the spouse vetoed it, alas. Fun town, though.

What part of town are you staying in?
The conference is at the University in the Union South building. But my Hotel is in the south part of town in Burr Oaks.

Mmmmm....not the nicest part of town as I recall, but very close to the arboretum, which is great.

I assume State Street meandering/dining/drinking/people watching and the trails out to Picnic Point are on your visitor agenda (and arboretum).

If it's in season the Saturday farmer's market around the Capitol is a nice stop, albeit probably not much in season yet other than fresh brats. And Friday tradition in WI is 'fish fry.'

Not that you probably want to dine on German food while in the U.S., and it's a bit of a drive, but the Dorf Haus out in Roxbury is popular with those of German heritage. German food & fish fry! Clasen's European Bakery in Middleton is also very good.

But there's plenty of good options for food to choose from on State Street, much less in the city without traveling out for things you could get at home.

Not sure if that was some typo or a plant I don't know, or if you meant a food better than hotdogs, or if you meant young children.

They are better than hot dogs, and sucks to your assmar! And autocorrect really, really wants that to be Asmara.

I have a setup I'm going to run on MS, and I actually like it well enough that I'd like to run it here. However, if I were to run it on MS first I'd be unable to run it here (because it is closed and since most of you know I play on MS, it would go against the integrity of the game to allow access to seeing it's elements.) Not exactly sure what the timeline is for it being in the queue on MS, but, to be safer, the sooner I'd go on here, the better. It's not like I wouldn't trust everyone to say "I won't go look" or anything, but it just seems logical to me to not run a game on here that I've run on there.

If not, I have another one in the works that will do here nicely as well, but I can always run that one after ^^^ that one.

btw we need more ppl in the hosting queue!!!
