bler144: Flattery will get you nowhere.

In theory I'm a fantastic, insightful player.
In practice, I'm 1-5.
Heh, my post was a comment on the skills and play of the players.

Hmmm...ok, I didn't read it that way, but I see what you were getting at. ;)

I don't tend to judge players from a single game. Moreso since it was announced as a practice game and it was largely people who hadn't played together before.

That's exactly why I said that I hope it's not indicative of the championship games. But not having played together before shouldn't determine one's engagement, imho.

yogsloth: They want to start ASAP and are thinking about 3/1 pace. (3 days per Day, 1 day per night)
Wait, a game that's actually QUICK?
And normal?
And Drealmer's in it, meaning that my madcap antics will actually look reasonable compared to his actions?
Sure, I'll give it a shot.

HypersomniacLive: I can only hope your practice game is not indicative of the actual championship games. I lost the will to follow it after D2.
I am thinking they'll be completely different. Ohfuck I hopeso, for yogsloth's sake!

actually with it being Justified (tv show) themed, I opted to not play. I've not watched the show (though I want to!)

Why would you have to have watched the show to play?
Guys, I might have my champ schedule changed from game 7 to game 3 - meaning I would start Monday. If that happens, I won't be playing the invite game under discussion.

I think I may beg off from those guys for a while until things settle down.

By the way, Game 1 of the championship is officially in the books. With 7 players left and at LYLO, one of the townies rage-quit and self-voted. Scum quickly piled on to end it. Almost 4000 posts in that game.

In case there are spoilers, because I want to watch the show and hate hearing much detail (not even *spoilers*, but simpler things like "this character exists") about anything out of context of how it was intended to be "consumed."

If I didn't care about that stuff it'd still be a matter of involvement - I don't think I could get as involved/immersed in it all without knowing the characters, the dynamics, the general flavor of it all.

The appreciation for all of it would be severely lacking because I'd be playing in a world I know nothing about. Who knows, that game has been pending a while, maybe I'll have watched the show by the time it ever gets going.

Sooo...basically they're no better than here.
I dunno why I assumed they'd be more official or something.

Johnson kills Margaret in the 4th episode by pushing her into a canyon.

Is that before or after Heathcliff elopes with Isabella Linton?
low rated

I think it was right around the time that Jorge walked off the show.

That doesn't bode well. At least the trashy attitude players shouldn't make it to the later rounds.
I'm back to my original spot in game 7. Which is good, since I didn't really feel like launching tomorrow.

Game 2 just ended Day 3 when a vanilla Townie decided to quit and discussed his PMs from the mod, which is an even bigger no-no there than it is here. Over there simply mentioning the fact you got a PM is grounds for modkill. So he got voted out instead as nobody could figure out what to do with him.

Just some really stellar performances all the way around.
Whoops! Posted in the wrong thread.

Wow.. not really a great end for the first two games then...
Let's hope performances improve as it goes on (and that there is no tally of who has won more games, scum or town, as it looks like town are well on their way to losing that...)
