Not a good start for the championship.

I think flubbucket said that he followed it last year - how common was the way this year's two first games have gone?

yogsloth: I'm back to my original spot in game 7. Which is good, since I didn't really feel like launching tomorrow.

Game 2 just ended Day 3 when a vanilla Townie decided to quit and discussed his PMs from the mod, which is an even bigger no-no there than it is here. Over there simply mentioning the fact you got a PM is grounds for modkill. So he got voted out instead as nobody could figure out what to do with him.

Just some really stellar performances all the way around.
These "champions" never cease to amaze.

Sorry, I mis-spoke. Game 2 didn't end; only Day 3 of Game 2 ended. They're in Day 4.

Game 3 starts today. This is the one with both Dr. SaaB and TheWhoDoctor. I didn't end up having to sub in to that one.

Following it was a job.

The players skill levels varied greatly. I only followed because I'd played with a couple of them. But it quickly got tedious.

Ah, so not much has changed.

What do you mean it was a job? Is this some expression or something?
I think he means it was a chore.

Which, with several games running simultaneously and hundreds of posts per day each, it pretty much is. I've largely just been reading the moderator / modbot updates rather than actually reading the games unless something catches my eye when skimming.

Ah yes, that makes sense. It's exactly how your training game felt after D2, and I did what you're doing but with almost no skimming just to see it to the end.

Not going to make an effort to do even that for any other game. Except for yours, of course, but no promises of following it closely.
Well, Day 4 in Game 2 ended with another Townie voting for himself for the lynch.

Game 3 is up and running with everyone debating whether or not to do full role claim Day 1, in a way that makes no sense to me, and to my inexperienced and hopelessly inept eyes, appears to have been suggested by Scum.

Good times.

Have to say... I'm glad I'm not playing. That sounds like a bit of a nightmare.

Lol.

Why would scum want to push for a full role claim though? Unless they happen to have fake claims or townie seeming roles it usually ends up bad for scum...

I can see you're really going to have a lot of fun with this XD

The setups are open, with only a few variations. If everybody role claims - and gives their target, as they are discussing, Scum will be able to fairly easily pick out the power roles. And kill them. It just looks like a truly terrible idea to me, but what do I know?

Ah, I suppose in an open set up a mass role claim is less harmful to scum.
Yup, that does indeed seem pretty stupid then...

What a chump.

Getting mod-killed on purpose to express one's displease is a far superior way to go.

What kind of town doctor votes themselves, anyway?

Is there a school or course one can attend to master this "self-voting townie: how to lead the votes to your lynch" craft?

Can't say I envy you, yogsloth...

Seriously!

And on that site, I shit you not, stating that "the game is a lot of fun" is a modkillable offense. It's literally written in the rules.

Therefore, I intend to have no fun whatsoever.
