Maybe because Rod, Joe and I are from the UK... bet those Americans were pronouncing it wrong. They started out pronouncing PSVita as PSVaita until Sony made the correct pronunciation explicit.

Transcribing stuff into the English system is very difficult, but it would be something along the lines of

BAHZ-ill-i-shek

All the vowels, in particular the "ah" and the second "i" are short (which matters in Czech -- hence the long í in Vítek), which I don't think this method can properly express.

EDIT: It just now occurred to me a much more natural way to write the first syllable would be BUZZ. I'm still struggling with how to capture the third syllable, the short "i", though.

I say something like zchink, but Joe has a somewhat more creative pronunciation.

Ah, so the lack of diacritic in Vitek's username would make the i short? And therefore pronounced more like Vittek? (the i is short because of the double t, it's only when I talk about it I realise how little sense English really makes)
