At the very least, I consider the other GoG mafia games required reading. It helps you piece what you should be doing a bit better then going into the games blind.

PenutBrittle: Ah yes. I read that and a bunch of others towards the end of day 3 and realized I was being a pretty horrible mafia player. I think I managed to shape up after that.
bazilisek: Yeah, Sin City Mafia really is an eye opener. Fantastic game. Come on, there has to be someone who says this everytime. :-)
Nah, the only thing I disliked was the ending. In my opinion it wasn't fair to mafia.

Not sure if anyone reads it, but the Mafia Player Pool thread was talking about making a big list of everyone who has played in one of our games so we can try to contact others....well, I have said list...the question is, what do we want to do with it?

At least the mafia won, so I'm guessing they didn't feel too hard done by. I feel worse for Axelrod, who played a brilliant game as neutral survivor, only to have the win taken away after he had every reason to think he had it. Whenever it came up, years afterwards, he was still sore about it. Might still be. ^^
But I agree, while it made for a delicious WTF moment, the hidden player really doesn't add anything to the game.
Azrael seems to have a thing for defying expectations and conventional thinking - something I can agree with, as a mod I try to do the same - but it's important not to take it too far. I offer you Matrix Mafia, the follow up to Sin City as a case in point.

Hey if I have a setup that's ready for inspection -I've learned my lesson! It's sensible! I promise (more sensible)- where would that put me in the queue? I'm suffering from the not-being-in-a-mafia-game sweats.
Or I'ld be willing to try hosting a new-player introduction game as well if it's wanted, with a fairly typical setup, perhaps an open game where the roles are known?
Would anybody like to inspect a setup? Or is it far too early to be even thinking about it?

Vitek: If you are not going to host it soon enough wouldn't it be better to wait with reviewing as you can later get some new ideas and you would have to consult them for balance again?
I'm trying to avoid new ideas! It seems to be okay as it is. I know how I can get carried away... Any new ideas I have between now and then can go into Setup3 which I scribbled down notes for last night.
Thanks Mt Sharim! I'll see where I'm at in the queue. It's a big queue but last time I managed to push my way to the front just by being more enthusiastic than anyone else. I might not be able to manage it this time though - at the time Zchinque was missing and we were on the boarderline between martial law and anarchy.
Gogfather? I humbly, and with reverence, beg you for guidance.

According to hosting list you are not in queue at all. :-)Any new ideas I have between now and then can go into Setup3 which I scribbled down notes for last night.

JoeSapphire: Have mercy I beg! My wife, her legs are stiff, her eyes are dimming. My mistress, her hip is brittle, her lungs are very weak!
You should ask people above you to allow you to move up. I am fine with it but for the last time. I asm still pushing myself down and so never get to finishing my setup. EDIT: I am Vítek.
