Maybe I'm a bit biased because GameRager was scum in the only game I played with him and he did the same thing. Float around not making waves and offering to join any wagon that is the longest. At best, this makes it NAI (non-alignment determinative), but it's still quite anti-Town. Man, would be great to be scum knowing you have an extra vote and all you have to do if bring a mislynch to the top.

As to the rest of you, I don't know what to make out of it. It just reminds me of Town v Town as people are all looking for any little thing to vote for that seems a little off and two or more aggressive scum-hunters end up pointing fingers at each other. Of course looking at the bigger picture with all the votes flying around, most of it is Town v Town even if a scum (or 2) might have gotten stuck in the middle of it. The question is who might be the trapped scum? Or are they not trapped and joining on the fringe?

The only thing I feel reasonably certain about is that scum are very unlikely to both be voting for the same person. I highly doubt they would be actively working together at this early point in the game so I can mostly rule out scum teams of RFG + Lift; ZFR + Joe; ZFR + Pooka; Joe + Pooka because I find it hard to believe scum will hitch their wagons together for fear of being associated. Even if one of Joe or Lift are scum, you likely have 1 scum on the other wagon and one off not voting or voting someone else. If both are Town their votes might be anywhere. From completely staying out of it to joining a wagon to appear Townly.

But specifically, about Joe, I don't know what to make of this. Everything I see says no scum would possibly expose himself this much, yet I've been told he's done similarly as scum in the past with random declarations of the scum team. I'm not persuaded by his argument that this is a great plan because HE knows he's not scum so the odds become 2 in 9. Simply because it's illogical since none of us (I guess besides scum) will know he's Town. Frankly, I like the initial ploy as a good scum-hunting conversation starter. Is he Town and the ploy spun a bit out of control?

As to Lift, yeah I thought some of his early posts might be opportunistic shading, but it looks like scum hunting and possibly conversation starting too. I don't know. I've just seen too many games where the scum laugh themselves to the bank watching with popcorn as town eats their own knowing tomorrow's lynch will likely be the person on the other side. In other words, if neither Lift nor Joe are scum, we are very likely to mislynch today and then mislynch the other tomorrow. I can't tell you how many games play out this way.

Question for both Joe and Lift...

Doesn't he look different to you from when we were scum together and kept using GR as a scapegoat for like 3 days? He is an easy lynch since his play is indeed [somewhat] anti-town but will that provide anything to work with if he turns out a mislynch? At this point the only positive I see is to remove a general concern so we can have a peace of mind (which isn't a bad thing) so I will vote him out to avoid no-lynch.


I've never played with him when he was scum. So he plays like this even as scum? OK, that makes me feel a bit better then.

Good points....I guess I just want to help town win as much as I can, and since I am often not thorough enough to help with analysis I try my best to help in other ways like hopefully hitting scum when I can.

I do it in every game for quite awhile now.....it's not just particular to this game.

1st bit: Yeah, that sounds like what I had....my advice as others likely would tell you is to drink plenty of(non-alcoholic) fluids, eat well to keep up your strength, avoid extremely cold temps, use some OTC medicine to limit symptoms so you can do other things while you wait it out.

Right now, Joe would be my top pick for scum. What bothers me is questioning whether he'd be crazy enough as scum to draw that much attention to himself.

I'm not sure about Lift. I don't find any one argument against him particularly compelling, I just wonder whether he's scum trying to defeat town by a thousand cuts.

Lynching Pooka would be a bad idea at this moment. He's put suspicions on enough people that he'll either be confirmed town or an easy to pick out second scum. I don't see Scum!Pooka being on a team with ZFR, Lift, Joe, or RWarehall. (Drawing a bit on RW's post, thanks for that)

GameRager, it's easier to read your alignment when you post more. I haven't really seen anything this game that's not the way GR normally plays, however the only tip-off that time when he was scum was his not posting as much.

Yeah, iirc I was by myself and didn't know how to handle it at that time....of course there are other times I will post less, like if IRL issues come up/etc.

Also at that time I was sharing one of my PCs with someone else and had limited hours per day to post. I have much more time on this new PC per day(as it's in my name). Still, I only usually stay on so long per day then I sleep around 9+ hours(some of that time is getting to sleep and waking up afterwards).

Where you sort of take it for granted that my process is genuine. Pooka and GameRager have both put votes on lift's wagon, which is now winning the wagon race. If he's town then those votes don't look good. But Pooka could have voted me instead putting my wagon into lift's place, using my questionable tactics as an acceptable reason. Why not? Maybe he thinks mislynch Joe and Lifthrasil is still difficult to lynch, mislynch Lifthrasil and Joe is easier to lynch... possibly. I need to reread pooka perhaps... I'm more inclined to believe GameRager's vote is honest, but maybe not.
Dedo I feel like is my best friend at the moment, so maybe I'm being buddied supremely? 'pocketed' if you will.

That may change on later Days, but if you are Town, Scum will be quite happy with you at the moment.

I would suggest Pooka or GR. GR gives off the air of a flailing newbie who doesn't exactly know what he's doing. ... But here's the thing: he isn't. By now he is no Newbie anymore and he knows how this game works. So I think he might be scum using the 'I don't know what to do' schtick.

But I still have that uneasy feeling about Pooka. Only he has a grand total of 0 votes on him, so while others seemingly share that uneasy feeling, no one seems to be willing to vote for him today. If you really are Town and just wanted to provoke reactions with your unfounded vote on me, I suggest you take a look at Pooka and his reaction to the perceived threat I seem to have been for him.

@all: I'm at L-2 now. It is custom to wait until L-1 to claim, but we frequently were too close to the deadline to make anything useful out of a claim. Leading either to a no-lynch or a mis-lynch. I don't want either, since frankly I don't want to BE today's mis-lynch. But a pre-mature claim does damage to Town too, because it gives Scum something to work with. So my question to all of you: should I claim at L-2? And when? ASAP? Or for example 24 hours before the deadline? What do you think.

You shouldn't claim yet imho. Not sure why people are ganging up on Lift so much, I feel him town right now.
At this point even though Pooka didn't had the right vibes, GR feels the most disturbing to me too. But not sure if we mis-lynch him will give us any info.

I'm still willing to lynch Pooka, but wanted to regather my thoughts. Joe does make me uneasy as for the rest, I don't have much time to summarise.
